Somebody tell me quick!
1L at DCNG, first semester GPA 3.78. Should I apply early to Chicago? I want to move up in the rankings. That's it. Lifestyle, weather, class size, none of this matters. What are my chances? Should I wait and just apply later? Should I apply to HYS? Assume that I maintain the GPA. Thanks all.

Re: Somebody tell me quick!
3.78 is meaningless considering those schools have different curves and you should feel bad for only caring about school rank. Do you care about employment outcomes? I mean even if you're a prestige whore (and that's your reason for caring about school rank) then you should care about prestigious employment outcomes which could be hurt by you transferring.
Don't apply to UChi unless you're at DCG, have no ties to Chicago, and desperately want to work in Chicago. Which it seems you don't. So don't apply to UChi.
