Has anyone submitted yet? Did you really have to send a transcript directly from undergrad AND law school, or did they accept CAS?

Re: NYU Waiting Thread 2013
Threw in my hat today. I didn't realize it would send without my LORs (which are "assigned" but not yet received), I assume LSAC will update my app when they come in?
NYC T2, top 2%. This is my first choice for their sweet, sweet LRAP.

Anybody know where you can find this College Questionnaire they're talking about? I tried e-mailing them, but no response.

Everything for NYU (and the other schools I've applied to) is in the "Forms" tab of each school's LSAC application.Jimbola wrote:Anybody know where you can find this College Questionnaire they're talking about? I tried e-mailing them, but no response.

Submitted my app today. My transcripts and dean certs are (hopefully) already there, so I should go complete relatively quickly. I'll update when that happens. Best of luck, all.

Re: NYU Waiting Thread 2013
Does anyone know what "Application being processed" means? My very last required document got checked off today, so it should be complete, but it's said "Application being processed" for like a week (when I was still missing things). Does that mean under review?
Edited to add: Nevermind, it changed sometime today to "Application under review."

Good q. I also had the rest of my documents checked off today. Judging from the 2012 thread, it seems like we're complete, and the next update will be "Under Review."zor wrote:Does anyone know what "Application being processed" means? Re: NYU Waiting Thread 2013
Hello, everyone.
Checking in, and probably with the same people for the third time (sorry).
Here's my obligatory stat sheet:
Current School 2013 USNWR: 40-45
Applying to: Columbia, NYU, GULC
GPA & Rank: 3.82/4.33, 9/2XX - Top 5%
Journal: Not yet released
Reason: Looking for a strong international program in a city conducive to building strong international relations (I'm interested in joining degrees with Columbia's SIPA and would love to chat with anyone also interested in post-transfer joint degrees)
As for this app, I have not received a status checker email yet. Columbia responded to me late Friday evening with my info, but I sent NYU out before I sent Columbia out. According to LSAC, the NYU app is sent, so hopefully I hear something Monday.
I've checked in also on the GULC and Columbia threads. Best of luck to each and all of you!

Hey guys. Were you at "application being processed" for a while? I'm going to have to call them on Monday because they have my law school transcript but not my certification, which makes no sense because they were sent in the same envelope.

Re: NYU Waiting Thread 2013
I was definitely being "processed" for a while and they had weird processing times for everything I sent. Both my UG and law school are in the same city as NYU, so you'd think that the stuff would get there the next day (and certainly the same time as Columbia). But my transcript was received and processed by CU the next day, and not by NYU for like, a week. So I would say give it another day, and definitely call by Tuesday to make sure they got it if it hasn't been updated.Dawkins wrote:Hey guys. Were you at "application being processed" for a while? Did anyone write an Underrepresented Group statement? I am URM but weaved it into my PS. Should I not bother with writing a separate one?

wouldnt make sense if its duplicative. less strong writing > more blah writing.echooo23 wrote:Did anyone write an Underrepresented Group statement? I am URM but weaved it into my PS. Should I not bother with writing a separate one?

I didn't address it in my PS or do an addendum. I indicated that on the application itself where requested.echooo23 wrote:Did anyone write an Underrepresented Group statement? I am URM but weaved it into my PS. Should I not bother with writing a separate one?

Re: NYU Waiting Thread 2013
I did discuss it in my PS but I wrote a diversity statement as well because I'm not URM so it requires a little explanation. I'm sure it's fine as long as you discussed it in your PS.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
