UChicago Transfer Waiting Thread 2013 Forum

A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.

Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

Failure to follow these rules will get you outed, warned, or banned.

Weird. Never heard of this. I did receive an email from their admissions office that a document of mine as an addendum was received this AM.

Idk - Im at work so I can't search past threads but the tone seems to be saying "you're admittable but we want to see how the yield turns out with respect to initial batch of acceptances"

So, I have had an unreasonably hard time getting my transcripts processed by the LSAC and/or to Chicago. LSAC has taken, what is now, three weeks and STILL not complete. I overnight mailed my transcript to the admissions office as per their request. The tracking number says delivered buy my application still says incomplete. The Admissions office neither answers my phone calls or emails..

I should just assume Im getting rejected, right?

i have not

I haven't either, I don't have a lot of hope because my GPA dropped a bit second semester. I do have a lot of ties to Chicago/IL, so maybe that will help.
