Came across this. I wholeheartedly agree, but for us transfers who are already in the game, low enrollment may play to our advantage. Although dropping out is the answer if you have no chance of transferring to a decent school. Thoughts?

People thought that last year and I think the transfer cycle came out the same as it usually does. Also, keep in mind that I'm pretty sure more people are applying to transfer, so I don't know if low enrollment really helps.

(But it's hard for me to compare, since my class-year was probably the enrollment peak; and CLS also cut their class size in recent years -- they used to take close to 80 transfers)

Demand is greatest for T14 schools now. In my opinion, transferring to T14 schools, even T25 schools will be more difficult given the increased demand. However, transferring to lower T1 and T2 schools will be much easier now as those schools cut class sizes and try to compensate with larger transfer classes. You also have to remember that schools outside the T25 have smaller endowments and cannot afford to cut class sizes year after year. Transfer students will help lower tier schools recoup lost tuition dollars due to smaller 1L class sizes.
