Actually, this is much less useful to transfers then it would be to entering 1Ls. At least at the top schools, transfers do very well and aren't close to the margins of hiring. So whether the school has a 50% or 55% biglaw rate is of little importance, since transfers at schools like Columbia, Penn, NYU, etc. are squarely within the (relatively) safe zone.

It may not be as useful for those transferring to T14ish schools where transfers have a pretty good shot at Biglaw jobs, but for those transferring to other schools, it may may be somewhat useful. If people are at a lower second tier, or maybe a third tier or fourth tier school, and are trying to transfer to a tier one school because they think it will help improve their chances at Big law, this chart may help them evaluate how realistic that is. A transfer to a T14 school has a good chance at a Biglaw job, but outside of the T14, things can be different. Even schools ranked rather closely to one another have drastically different placement rates.
