Another 24 Hour Decision
Hey Guys! So apparently life happens fast, because I have been given yet another quick deadline. I need to make a decision by 7/11 in order to participate in OCI.
I have decided to forgo Law Review and transfer from W&L. The new question is to where? I am eventually looking to head west or have more national mobility. My two options on the table are:
1. Northwestern (Expensive 30k more in debt, in a great city, greater odds of LR write-on, better clinics)
2. UVA (In-state tuition, short move from current school, very small odds of LR, in Charlottesville)
I have gotten the sense that transfers fare pretty well at Northwestern for OCI, I have no idea how they do at UVA.
Thoughts and considerations?

Tough call - I don't really know enough about NU to offer any meaningful advice. NU seems to place better in Biglaw, and given that is literally further West, it may be more helpful in that regard.
I wouldn't make your decision based on likelihood of writing onto LR though. I assume it's not particularly likely in either scenario.

Honestly, think you should go with UVA. You will be paying in-state tuition and it won't be a burdensome move. I doubt Northwestern has a significantly greater success in placement out west than UVA. They are probably about even in that regard.

Northwestern since you think that you have a reasonable shot at making law review. Nevertheless, my best guess is that you'll transfer to Virginia due to the ease of transition as well as it's stellar reputation in your home region (and, of course, nationally). Two great options. Congratulations !
P.S. After rereading your original post, NU seems better since clinics are important to you.

Flip a coin. Go wherever you'd like to live.
One thing I'd like to add, though: You will be living in a big city for the foreseeable future for your job. Maybe middle of nowhere VA wouldn't be so bad since you'll likely never have that level of tranquility again.

OP may be "tranquilityed out" after spending time in Lexington.

I think it has come down to the fact that I believe I personally am a better fit for Northwestern, but I am not sure if that is worth the 30 to 40k more in debt over UVA.

Congrats on getting in to two great schools. I'd go to UVA but thats just me. Less money, easier move. Im from Chicago though and it is a great city; I understand why you would want to be there. Can't go wrong with either one.
