Thanks! Though at this point, a ding will be almost as welcome as an admit.canesfan1986 wrote: Thanks. Best of luck to you as well. Hopefully you fare better than I did.

I think what you mean is a signed, notarized letter on cream bond paper with a copy of your passport and social security card sent via horseback rider and acknowledging your ding. They can't move forward with the process until this happens, so if you could get on it, I'd appreciate it.

Just got a call! Best luck to everyone still waiting, they ARE still admitting people!
FWIW, the call was around 3:00 EST. I am top 3% at a 18-20.

Congrats everyone!
Just got my monthly phone call from a cruise ship scam. My heart jumped out of my chest when my phone lit up, and then sank to my shoes

Re: Harvard 2012
Can any of the new admits sate my curiosity: Did they give you a deposit deadline, financial aid info, anything like that?

Not really. The lady on the phone talked mostly about the fact that their bid deadline is this Monday. For that reason, she gave me until Friday at 5:00 to decide. Between H and Chi and I'm from Chicago. Very good chance I withdraw.

I presume you mean withdraw from Chicago?lawgrl14 wrote:Not really. The lady on the phone talked mostly about the fact that their bid deadline is this Monday. For that reason, she gave me until Friday at 5:00 to decide. Between H and Chi and I'm from Chicago. Very good chance I withdraw.
I think this also means the rest of us will have to wait a bit longer.
ETA: I mean, I think they probably just did another batch, and depending on how many accept by Friday, there may or may not be any more acceptances, and we will not hear until later. Not because of anything lawgrl is going to do.

Sorry, I actually meant withdraw from H. I will absolutely do this at the earliest time if so.

Oh, well I suppose there will likely be one more slot then. Also, I edited my post before you wrote this - I didn't mean to do that "HURRY PLZ WITHDRAW" thing that got popular around here when folks hadn't heard from places. As has been said before, it's a big decision and you are entitled to use the time they give you.lawgrl14 wrote:Sorry, I actually meant withdraw from H.
