In my mind, the latter half of the week of the 15th means that today was probably the first day they may have issued decisions. More likely I think they'll give decisions tomorrow and on Monday.

Also, Yale giving us an actual range of when we can expect to hear back is so classy. Why can't other schools just be like Yale?

Agreed. I think I made this point in another thread, but I'm frustrated enough to make it again: Basically the entire professional world works with deadlines. Why can't admissions committees? It's not like we don't pay for the pleasure of being rejected.

This is informative:

There are an alarming number of Barack Obama pictures in that search. My favorite one:

Today maybe we can all rest east with our rejections, except Canesfan and >insert witty name<

Forcing us to endure a weekend of uncertainty will be absolute torture.

I'm reasonably certain that will happen, though. Can you even conceive of an admissions committee giving a range of dates and coming in on the early end?

Well, I think at this point I am going with Penn even if Columbia and Chicago call me. Only Yale can defeat Penn.

Alright, Yale. Chicago might fight Penn to a stalemate, but only you, Yale, sweet Yale, can prevail against its gates.

I mostly want Yale to make its decisions so Harvard can move on my file. Because that's clearly what they're waiting on.

Maybe tonight I will dream of the reasons why Harvard hasn't dinged us yet. As a conservative Christian, I'm quite sure that's a legitimate way to find out things like that.

Things seem to be much later this year than last. Last year the email said "latter half of the week of July 18 and the early half of the week of July 25" and I found one acceptance on Tuesday the 19th at 12pm, and a bunch of rejection emails around 9pm on Thursday the 21st.

Yes, her. Any update? I've waited nearly a year now and I'm getting impatient.

Did she stop blogging it or something? I thought her whole schtick was making sure Yale and everyone else knew exactly what was up.

Yeah it's looking like they're going to drag it out till the very end (hopefully that's tomorrow and not as far out as Wed). I think that if they were making the calls today, they'd probably be sending out email dings as well... since they're the last school to let people know and are not exactly worried about their yield rate for transfer admits.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
