I really don't know enough to advise whether or not it would be worth it, but if you're going to apply you should apply to UVA and Duke in addition to Georgetown, given your career goals. In terms of whether to do it, take a look at your school's hiring data for top 1/3 of the class, compare that to whichever school(s) accept you, factor in the scholarship, and go from there.

My best guess is that for one in the top third, you need to be a very clever & persuavsive writer with strong recommendations to have a 50/50 chance.

P.S. If you're going to submit transfer apps, then be courageous enough to apply to a couple of reaches.

I would guess you have a 50/50 shot at GULC, but really just a guess. I doubt it would be worth it since you have a scholly, and in my experience transferring probably won't help get you a biglaw job (it can increase access to firms in some cases, but I think that it usually doesn't actually increase chances of offer--they still look at your old school cutoffs for that school in hiring generally). So giving up the scholly, and probably not really having a better shot (it sounds like you do have a shot where you are at)= probably not worth it. But it is nice to have a T14 on the resume, and would probably be more worth it if you could get in at any other T14s.

1. I would like to get a job at a firm, or certain government agencies in the Mid-Atlantic to Southeast (my school is not located in either of these regions). I also have a decent sized scholarship at my current school and a solid alumni contact base that I keep in the markets in which I am looking to practice. Would it be worth it to transfer?

2. What are my chances of even getting in?

Thanks in advance.
