Put down a deposit on Northwestern and on an apartment in Chicago. Looks like I'll be going there in the Fall! I'm really happy with it (even though UChi would have been nice) because my UGPA/LSAT would never have gotten me in the first time around (especially since I had/have zero WE). Hope to see some of yall in the fall. Let me know if you're attending NU!

It's been a crazy cycle. For people doing this bullshit next semester: (1) Don't. (2) But if you do, don't go to a random law school you wouldnt be happy staying at and expecting to transfer. This cannt be emphasized enough. This process is fucking arbitrary.

Thrilled to be in at Duke.
Feel that my PS, optional essays and Interview allowed me to out perform my numbers.

Advice:
1) get your undergrad stuff in EARLY
2) do not trust your registrar, they will lie to you. <<< (verify everything. Seriously.)
3) do optional statements.
4) in your PS, dont just say that you will do well at their school, show them what you would do, specifically what professors/clinics/ etc, and what in your life is evidence that you are a winner.
5) convey enthusiasm for the school, and an understanding of the school
6) get all your stuff in before cycle opens.
7) fasten your seatbelt, and be patient. Transferring is a bumpy, seemingly random ride.

edit: some schools dont care about PS/Optional statements as much (if at all). I genuinely believe that Duke does. I believe that legal experience helps. - schools want to take transfers who will do well at OCI.
