Re: Columbia 2012 Transfer Applicants
Sorry to hear about a few dings.
Why can't CLS just notify people in an e-mail that they've been rejected? The 2 (or so) days that the decision is in the mail is just additional time wondering (read: stressing [in most cases]) if you've been accepted/rejected.
Interesting that this is the first we're hearing about rejections. Given that they're going out by snail mail, we may hear of more every day this week ... it *is* July 23, after all. If I don't hear from them by Friday, I'm just going to have to assume that I have no chance

Still waiting to go complete. As much fun as picking the leftover scraps from the OCI lottery sounds, I think I'll go to Penn and enjoy my 60 bids.

Re: Columbia 2012 Transfer Applicants
If I don't hear from Columbia by the end of the day, I'm going to withdraw and put my deposit down at NYU (I'm leaning toward NYU anyway). Hopefully we see a bunch of positive decisions roll out today though.

I just got in this morning via email. Was leaning NYU, but plan to talk to some people at Columbia first before making a decision.

I got the same response.pballer wrote:after alerting columbia that I was still interested in attending, but that I would be withdrawing and committing to return to my school if I was not admitted by friday:
Dear _____,
Thank you for your interest in Columbia Law School. We are unable to guarantee a specific timeline for a decision; however, the Admissions Committee will be made aware of your request.

Re: Columbia 2012 Transfer Applicants
Dear Columbia Admissions Office,
Because it is now late July and I must arrange my affairs for a long distance move in the next several weeks, I am unable to continue to wait for a decision from Columbia Law School. Please accept this email as a withdrawal of my application.
Respectfully,
[Member of the University of Pennsylvania Law School Class of 2014, but really I just put my name here]

Re: Columbia 2012 Transfer Applicants
Anyone still at "completion pending"? Has anyone been admitted without going from "completion pending" to "complete"?

I'm still completion pending. I kinda want to see what they do, although even if I get in now I'm not going. Kinda ridiculous that they haven't even processed some apps yet.BeachandRun23 wrote:Anyone still at "completion pending"?
