UCLA 3.31 when average is 3.2 Chances?

Post by madhatted25 » Sun Mar 11, 2012 11:23 pm

My fiance is in baltimore. Thus I am interested in transferring to Gtown, UVA, and UPenn. I am guessing my gpa places me in the top 40%. I feel that Gtown would be a lateral, but would they still take me?

Thanks

I think you're pretty much out for sure at UVA and UPenn. I think your chances at Gtown should be good since it is basically a lateral and you have a compelling reason, but I don't know about how many transfers they take or as much about lateral moves like this.

In any case good luck and have a happy marriage!

Georgetown took 61 transfers in last year per data from the ABA (on lsac.org).

Hey thanks a lot. I am working my butt off to see if I can edge up my second semester. Kinda sad they went up 1 spot because then it would have been an even closer lateral.

I wouldn't even think about transferring if it weren't for the whole marriage thing lol.
