I just sent the App today. I'm at a T2 as well. I'm not expecting to get in on ED, but I hope the interest will help for the RD app.

Just sent my ED app today... T30, Just outside top 3%. Fingers crossed.

My PS is abject shit. I wrote pretty hurried, while stressed out from studying from finals, but I have finals up until the deadline so I don't think it would have made a difference if I waited some. I could have always done it earlier and not procrastinated but nope.

Hope the PS matters as little as Arrow says it does.

Sent mine in the other day. App went complete this morning.

For those of you whose schools don't calculate ranking until 2nd semester did any of you run into school policies that don't allow the registrar to disclose gpa/rank metrics from previous years?

I assume Chicago has ballpark estimates of gpa/ranks from prior applicants if you're applying from a decently sized school.

I am going to be starting law school in the fall. I am considering transferring in the future, and I'm thinking about retaking the LSAT. Is it worth it to retake or are grades the main thing they look at for transfers?

I think it updates periodically (maybe once/week?). How long has it been stuck? I sent Admissions an email as soon as my registrar's office sent off the Information Form, and the day they responded to me (which took about 3-4 days), my application status updated. Also, I'm sure it's nothing to actually stress over. Just double check your registrar's office sent off the materials you need/LSAC sent your application.

Without question, retake. Do not even consider transferring as an option. Also, it would be prudent for you not to post in Transfers thread as a 0L; the only response you're likely to get is the above (i.e., "GTFO 0L").

Wait, do you meant that you would retake the LSAT solely to improve your transfer chances (i.e., you're going to the school in the fall regardless)? No reason to retake for that purpose--it won't help at all. But the standard statement applies: Do not go to a law school if you wouldn't be happy graduating from there.

If prior years' Chi Transfer threads are any indication, it looks like we'll get a decision next week...

Last year it looks like they didn't let people know until the 11ish when the deadline was 4/30. Unless they hurry up the schedule this year since the deadline was pushed back it sounds like we may have to wait out this week.

But the date by which they are supposed to give the decision was not pushed back, right? Still end of May? Anyway, what am I doing here, I don't stand a chance!
