George Washington Early Action Waiting Thread
Sent in my Early Action app yesterday morning. Who else is waiting on GW's transfer decisions?

From what I've gathered around the web, at Top 1%, you've a really good chance; possibly even one at GULC.Jessuf wrote:Top 1%. TTT. Will probably be rejected or deferred, but I really want DC.

GW is non-binding like GULC, right? Going to do some PS's this week and then really start pushing forward after OCI.

Yes, they are non-binding. I think Chicago is the only binding one.TTRansfer wrote:GW is non-binding like GULC, right? Going to do some PS's this week and then really start pushing forward after OCI.

I used two. One from my initial law school apps and one from my Torts professor.rockthered86 wrote:How many LORs are people using for GW?

This may be a dumb question, but how does one get a Dean's Certification Letter? Does GW have a form at all on their site? I know that Georgetown does.

Two. Possibly three if I can get one of my professor's to write it. Not sure of his policy. He is old and hard line.rockthered86 wrote:How many LORs are people using for GW?

Has anyone submitted an application yet? How long does it take to get a confirmation email with the status checker information? Thx!

Re: George Washington Early Action Waiting Thread
I never got a tracker; I got an email from the Admissions Office telling me personally that they received my transcripts, application, and letter from the dean. Then she said because it was in so early that I should hear back mid-March... But no tracker. Maybe that's for the best.TTRansfer wrote:2-3 days.GreatNorth87 wrote:Has anyone submitted an application yet? How long does it take to get a confirmation email with the status checker information? What're your numbers? They take in like 100 people and this is the first time they've done EA, so I'm guessing not a lot of people are applying this early.TNFSkier16 wrote:Just applied. Longshot but we shall see.

Top 29% at a TT w/ a 3.14. My professor is a GW alum and said she'd write a LOR if I applied there in addition to some other schools. So I did.

Got an email today with the status checker, email said I'm complete but the status checker does not. Hmmm.... oh well, now commences the longest month wait of my life.

LSAC is very slow in updating as of right now. My first LOR should have been there and listed. Was sent out last week.

Very close to my numbers; for may sake as well, I hope you get in EA! I wonder what kind of applicant they'll take in EA since this is their first year doing it.opX wrote:3.5 top 9-12% (ish) @ TT, submitted app waiting on LORs

GW said their EA standards are the same as regular transfer admissions. You would have to maintain a B avg in the Spring though

How many does GW normally take in a transfer class including EA and RD?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
