I am considering to ED to Chicago or EA to GULC or GWU for transfer applications. My first semester GPA is a 3.77 at a upper T2(would be with in the top 10%). Do you think these options are with in grasp? I am a bit worried about repeat performance next semester but this is primarily because I worry a lot.

Advice is appreciated. My career goals are big law(or mid law) or a USAO position.

I have to imagine you're out at Chicago, unless you're well within the top 10%

GW just started EA this year. I think OP has a good shot at GW EA but GW expects that Spring grades will be at least B average. Might as well send out apps to the other two just to see what happens.

Oh thanks for this. Was interested in them. They apparently have two transfer pages on their website, one with nothing about early action. Dumb. http://www.law.gwu.edu/Admissions/apply/Pages/transvis.aspx

I think even top 10% at Fordham would be less than 50-50 for UChi.

I was top 5% last year at a T2 and was flat out rejected from Chicago ED.

Not sure if you know, but any idea how a top 1% (3.9) at a T25 would fair?

Yup, got into a good amount of lower T14 schools. I'm at Michigan now.

Very good chance in my opinion. I would probably hold off, try to repeat performance, and shoot for YHS RD though.

A little bit different range, but I was top 1% at a T-30 and out at YHS, In at UChicago RD

Negative, I guess it's actually a T-35 now too. My mistake.

Does it make a difference if you try to transfer from a full time JD program to a part time JD program at GULC?
