Transfer to an online lawschool

Post by FiliusNullius » Fri Nov 25, 2011 9:23 pm

I know that after 1L ABA students can transfer to online law schools. Some are even open book self proctored self paced, one class at a time, correspondence.

Kind of thinking about doing it.

Anyone else have that thought pop in their head?

What could possibly make you think this is a good idea?

cheaper tuition and less stress both came to mind. Class in underpants seems kind of like a plus too.

Now I hate when ppl scream flame. But this should be the criteria for which all user use to measure what a flame is. The thought of online is absurd unless you have 1. A job lined up 2. No self respect 3. No self awareness

You must have all these for online to even be considered.

If your only goal is to come out a JD for the sheer sake of having a piece of paper that says "Juris Doctor" on it, then online law school sounds great.

If you have any aspirations to ever work in any sort of legal job at any point in your life other than the firm where your daddy is the named partner, then online law school is a truly terrible idea.

Well, if not online, what about the correspondence options. You can even do it offline via postal mail.

Kind of old school, but even less teacher control that way.

Old Abe did even less and he changed the world.

You still get a license to practice law.

People like you make me realize why there are occupy protesters protesting unemployment. But mom, I went to that online university and now nobody wants to hire me!

Wait. You can't go to class in underpants? What the hell am I doing busting my A** to get into law school if I can't go in just any attire? Is there any rule regarding bunny slippers?

Please don't take this too seriously. I totally have gorilla slippers. I mean, men in bunny slippers. You'd have to be pretty secure in your manhood for that. Ha ha.
