George Mason Transfer App: No chance?
I decided not to throw in a transfer app to George Mason University Law after reading
I believe on the ABA's transfer data sheet that last year they accepted 0 transfer students.
Anyone applying there or heard back from GMU this year?

Re: George Mason Transfer App: No chance?
This is part of my rejection letter:
"
George Mason has received a tremendous number of applications for a very limited number of transfer seats this year, making the process extremely competitive. As a result, we are denying a high percentage of the applicants, including many with very fine qualifications."
I don't really care though because I was accepted to a better school.

anyone in at GMU yet?
i am coming from a TTT top 5% and a good reason for transferring (husband accepted a job in nova and we already relocated from the midwest to dc this summer). i am in at american, but REALLY hoping for GMU. i didn't realize how few transfers they take...

This. I was rejected a few days ago. Even though I wouldn't have gone there, it's a little comforting to know a possible reason for the ding was due to very few spots.lovelaw27 wrote:This is part of my rejection letter:

FWIW, I'm a VA resident who was also dinged at GMU but accepted to a few T25's.

Re: George Mason Transfer App: No chance?
This year might be particularly brutal for transfers to Mason. Our entering class was way to big (about 50-60 students over the norm) so they might be resistant to adding more students. Either way, they have traditionally taken very few transfers.
