Bought mine. I though my undergrad stadium was big (82,000), that's nothing compared to the Big House

I went to Penn State undergrad -- believe me, I know the feeling.

Planning to buy them because I miss college football. But I will still be repping my UM for the most part (aka "The U" aka "wtf happened to my team since I graduated"). Do they even show ACC football in Ann Arbor?

Too bad Clemson doesn't play Miami this year. We can go force some bar to play ACC football.

Totally did. Unfortunately though since it's so late they can't put us with the Law group seating, so you'll just get a random ticket in the student section. From what I've been told though, once you're in the student section moving around isn't all too hard. Can anyone corroborate this?

That's how it was at IU, but I can't say for sure it'd be the same for Michigan (though I would expect it is).

It was that way at Miami, but we didn't even have tickets (we just swiped our ID cards).

They enforce section only, not row or seat. For big games, like Michigan State, they only allowed grad students in the front row or two to prevent field hopping so they enforced those rows only (but not seats). Although even that doesn't seem to have been uniformly enforced.

I'm down at Miami now. I only went to one game (Miami-FSU), and let me tell you, after 5 years of Big Ten football, I was SORELY disappointed.

I'm already mad that Penn State won't be playing Michigan over the next two years because they had to go and add Nebraska to the Big Ten which now plays Penn State in Michigan's place. :x

eta: I haven't bought my tickets yet - do I need to have sent in the deposit first before I can buy them? (I wouldn't be surprised if they enforced this, or they might have admitted-then-withdrawn students flooding StubHub with student tickets)

RandR, I was at Miami back in the early 2000's. I can imagine with the recent years of losing and all things are probably different. We had half of the NFL on the team back in the day, so I definitely remember it as something more "special". Plus, that Fiesta Bowl forever cemented my hatred of Ohio State, which certainly helps with the whole Michigan thing .

I can get on board with that -- I'm sure going to Miami football games back when they were winning National Championships and stuff was much more fun. :P

You can buy tickets before you deposit. The ticket office crosschecks with the registrar right before the season starts to make sure you are registered. If you're not they automatically cancel your tickets and you're out 250.

I guess I'd better know that I'm really truly 100% going then before I go and shell out 250.

I'm a UF grad. So atleast we can bond over how much FSU sucks.

Haha, don't tell me we've got a Clemson grad transferring in? Well, I suppose it shows you came to your senses re: schools eventually.

(There are a couple of USC alumni in the class of 2013, including yours truly.)

I'm really loving the College Football hatefest going on here. Michigan Law looks like a place I can fit in.

i wish they'd told me they needed the money by the 20th to guarantee a normal oci. i'd rather not have to overnight a check.

That's what I just got back from doing -_-

Was holding out as long as possible to see if I'd hear from Penn/NYU/CLS before I sent it, but not a peep, so in goes the deposit!

wouldn't worry about overnighting it so much. OCI bidding only STARTS on the 21st. it goes until the 28th, so you should have plenty of time to bid either way.

Ok so am I insanely behind if I haven't started a bidlist, etc? I guess I have to deposit by tomorrow but I've been stupidly putting everything off until I decide whether I'm transferring or not.

I wouldn't say you're anything close to "insanely behind." I know I'm going to be putting one together (or at least trying) over the next couple days. I made a phone appointment for Monday with someone in OCP to review my bid list and tell me how dumb/bad it is.

I didn't overnight mine because the post office said Saturday it should get there by the 20th :| . I don't know if I trust them.

Just shoot the office an e-mail and let them know it's on the way. I highly doubt they will care if its delayed by a day or two so long as they know.
