Notre Dame Transfer? Forum

If anyone has any questions I'm a rising 2L at ND also went there undergrad

How is the campus at integrating the new guys. How supportive is the school of transfers? I've read different things.

So I plan on sending ND my check today and withdraw/decline from WUSTL. It is not an easy decision. But in the end, granted my target market is Chicago, in the event I do not get Chicago, I think being from Indiana, I can sell to employers that I want to work in Indiana if I go to ND, whereas I doubt any employer in St. Louis will take me seriously if I tell them after spending two years at WUSTL, I suddenly love STL.

Even though WUSTL has a much stronger IP program, and a gorgious campus. Not easy.

Congrats Kyle, I am still struggling to make up my mind. I am 90% leaning towards spending the money and going to Notre Dame. I spoke with an Alum from a few years ago last night who told me about his experience. He was telling me how amazing the people are. I am pretty much sold. I love St. Louis, and WUSTL is a beautiful school, but this is freakin Notre Dame.

Notice this on ND's profile page on TLS: "Notre Dame Law School accepts a small number of transfer students each year (a dozen or so is typical)." I wonder if that means ND only accepted a dozen or only a dozen matriculated.

yikes, i would guess it means matriculated since they probably "over accept" to account for people declining offers

I will likely be sending in my $800 deposit to Notre Dame today and withdrawing from WUSTL, UCLA and GW. ND will only cost $23k a year and I think I would regret not going for the rest of my life.

sounds like a good choice...when did you hear from UCLA, btw...and when did you go complete? (or did you mean withdraw your application?)

I just sent in my deposit with the blessing of my beautiful fiancee. Looks like I'll be heading to South Bend. I am so very excited.

Well right now ND. But I'm still waiting on USC ucla, both of which would take priority over ND. Nonetheless, ND has always been a school I wanted to be at so we'll see what happens (hopefully before the seat deposit deadline)

I am looking for a roommate, or two (if it is a three-bedroom place), to save some money. Is there anyone here who has committed to Notre Dame that is interested in looking for a place? I wanted to get this in place before the end of this month.

Out of curiousity, I still haven't recieve my snail mail package. Anything worthwhile in there? i.e. should I ask ND to send another copy?

Hey Mike...when is the seat deposit due? you went complete on Friday and got a decision today correct? I am still not complete because of a transcript being lost in mail (or misplaced). crappy undergrad ! Other than that...I have everything in and waiting
