stats? any indication that they are making other calls?

top 7-10% at uchicago (i don't really know, they don't rank). she said they had finished reviewing apps last night. i'd imagine they will be calling people soon because she expressed a worry that she had lost people to berkeley and harvard because of calling on the later side. this also might mean that they'll accept some extra people later if they have an unusual number of people go elsewhere this year... i dunno. best of luck to you

one of my recommenders is a recent alum/posner clerk/rockstar and i got top grade in his con law class. i can only think he made some special push for me.

no i applied only to stanford. i had personal reasons for going. i'm also a straight white middle class male straight from undergrad. i had only 1 rec from a law prof, and he wasn't actually a full prof (lrw bigelow fellow) and it was one of my worst grades... so i guess my getting in was straight grades?
i'm hoping for all of you!

If anyone is interested- I didn't finish sending in my materials to Penn after getting into UChicago and I just received this email:

"At this time, we have completed our transfer admissions process and your application remains incomplete."

Not sure if this is indicative of anything useful for you all waiting on Penn but I figured I'd share nonetheless.

I think it was one other kid and myself. Was thinking about starting an "NYU Transfer" thread, but it would be pretty empty at this point. The floodgates will likely open this week. They have a large transfer class, so I'd imagine many TLS people will get in.

I need to let UChicago know by tomorrow, so I hope it doesn't take very long! I'd even deposit and eat it later if I could find out whether I have to withdraw my other applications.

Congrats on the SLS admit, that's awesome. Don't worry about the deposit, just call Michigan and tell them what's up (if you haven't yet).

I mailed my deposit this morning, and called them about 2 hours ago to explain to them about Penn, and they were fine. They told me to send them an email confirming that I wanted to withdraw and why and they wouldn't deposit my check when they got it. They were really nice about it on the phone (no surprise, Michigan was pretty great about everything this cycle).
