T14 Transfer Status Change Thread Forum

A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.

Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

Failure to follow these rules will get you outed, warned, or banned.

to those (or the one person) who received a decision from NYU...when did you submit your app/go complete, and would you care to share your approximate #'s? i'm still UR there (dated 6/27), but am eagerly awaiting an update. thanks...

My stuff has been with them for close to a month now. I sent pretty much all supplemental materials throughout May and early June, and submitted the app itself in mid-June. It went to UR around June 24th, but reverted back to processing, perhaps because I sent in a new LOR. Now it says UR as of 7/1 (or else it did before it changed to "decision letter sent" yesterday"). Now I'm just awaiting the result. Wish they did it like Penn and just sent an email given the time crunch involved here. I come from a T25 and I am around top 10%.

inclined to agree with this as well, given the numbers of people who were accepted and the fact that they are clearly not sifting through applications in order received, though this might just be wishful thinking : )

It all seems really random actually. Last year one of the first admits was 3.61 at ccn and then top 1% people admitted 8 days later.

NYU mailed my package yesturday, the acceptance came today. I went UR 7/1. Congrats to all the accepted students today.

Oh wow, now I'm excited (and nervous). I went UR 7/1 as well, and my decision was mailed yesterday as well. I hope they don't mail out acceptances and rejections on the same day. Though your stats are way higher so it could totally go 2 diff ways for us. Did they inform you that you were accepted in advance, via email or something? Or did it just say "decision letter mailed" and it just happened to be an acceptance?

But can you log into the admitted students section of the site? Thats the only thing really worrying me.

I got an e-mail telling me I was finally complete yesterday morning. (I bugged them a lot cause they were the last to get all my stuff.)

Got a voicemail (because OF COURSE I miss the call the one time I'm not staring at my phone) at about 12:15 today.

70s, top 1-2% FWIW.

The site said it was mailed on the 7th. I don't know about any accepted student's site because my folks got the package (which they told me was gigantic). Congrats to all the NYU acceptances and maybe I'll see you there in a month's time

In at Michigan today (voicemail, around 2pm). My stats are 4.0 (top 1%) at a T2.
