Just curious--have anyone received an acceptance from CLS that went complete after 7/20?

Re: T14 Transfer Status Change Thread
Honestly, anyone admitted today or later is Probbaly in bad shape at CLS. They already did their lottery for regular students and admitted transfer students. We would just get the scraps( drops and adds, etc.), and the admitted student day is the 8th (eiw on the 11th), which is redic soon for someone out of area..
Nyu is in a more favorable part of town, better start date , chance at LR.

CLS seriously only allows early transfers to fully participate in EIW but later transfers aren't given full access to the process? If this is true, I wish I had known in advance so I could have withdrawn my application. Thats a joke.TransferRisk wrote:Honestly, anyone admitted today or later is Probbaly in bad shape at CLS. As a current student at CLS I know that transfers get interviews with top firms and offers at top firms (including Simpson Thacher and Boies Schiller) and I would be astounded if Columbia were to do as the person above suggested. The more likely scenario is that they save a certain number of spots for transfers that, if they aren't taken, are released to the general student populous wither Wednesday at noon when people can add interviews or at EIP where they have an add process as well.

Re: T14 Transfer Status Change Thread
I don't have any knowledge of the actual process but I agree with the last poster that the "scraps" assertion is unsubstantiated. Penn does something similar, and I just missed bidding with the early transfers, and still got 11 of my top 12 bids, plus some others, bidding with the "late" transfer admits. If CLS is still planning to admit a decent number of transfers, I wouldn't be surprised if they leave slots open.kaiser wrote:CLS seriously only allows early transfers to fully participate in EIW but later transfers aren't given full access to the process? Re: T14 Transfer Status Change Thread
Good. It would just be unfair otherwise. What Cornell does is wrong (not letting any transfers participate in the true OCI/EIW program), but it would be even weirder to only allow some transfers to participate, but restrict access to others.Wholigan wrote:I don't have any knowledge of the actual process but I agree with the last poster that the "scraps" assertion is unsubstantiated. 1.) Does anyone know if the Yale offers have been completely exhausted? What does it mean if I haven't heard back from them yet? Soft waitlist, or are they just slow at sending rejection letters/e-mails?
2.) Anyone brave enough to call up the SLS Admissions Office today?

1) I was under the impression Yale is done. You may want to call them.Jacques_Bentley wrote:1.) Does anyone know if the Yale offers have been completely exhausted? What does it mean if I haven't heard back from them yet? Soft waitlist, or are they just slow at sending rejection letters/e-mails?

So did anyone get their CLS decisions via mail today? Given the wave of rejection snail mails going out, no news is good news right now.

I think CLS is just keeping us around to laugh at or something (BTW, haven't checked my mail since I'm at work, so the DING letter might be there). I mean, I'm pretty much all-in in terms of Michigan, but I just want CLS/NYU to make a decision on my file already so I know for sure already.

Yeah. Still waiting on SLS. They'll probably send me a rejection letter on August 31.Transferthrowaway wrote:From Yale? What about Stanford?Jacques_Bentley wrote:Never mind. Dinged. I know a girl who transferred to CLS on the 3rd of August last year who received offers (that obviously also means interviews) from all but two V10 firms. Career services will get any transfer who is admitted after today at least 10 interviews, and more if prodded and asked, and with the very best firms.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
