Top Law Schools

So most of my second semester grades have trickled in, and I feel pretty confident I will remain in the top 5%. However, if I don't, and slip just outside, how does that translate on the transfer applications? My school only does rankings in 5% increments, so the form they would submit to prospective schools would say top 10% even if I were top 6/7%. Is that just a crappy situation that is unavoidable or is there a way to communicate your rank more accurately?

on your resume say top 6% or whatever you calculate it to be if you can be sure of it. even better put your rank by number... 16/2XX.
