Hey all,

I was wondering if someone could chance me since I finally have all my grades in.

School: 50s
GPA: 3.67 (no rank yet but top 20% last year was 3.4-3.7)
Honors: Two CALIs, Moot Court winner, Mock Trial winner
Applying: Fordham, NYU, Columbia, Penn, GTown, GW

Thanks all!

3.4 to 3.7 ? That's a huge range, no?

That was the top 20%. It's a small school so the top 20% equals about the top 25-30 kids.

Applying to Georgetown, GW, and American. Went to GW for Undergrad, for what it's worth.

What are my odds?

Georgetown: 2%
GW: 35%
American: 65%

Result:
Rejected from Georgetown
Accepted to GW and American

T4 in CA, 3.68 gpa, top 4% (11/291), 3 Witkins, Grade on to LR, Fed financial regulatory agency summer internship, graduate degree in finance (gpa 3.86 with honors), 5 years of work experience.

Now the downside: terrible UGPA (2.5), took the LSAT 4x and ended with 157.

Applied to

GULC EA- deferred EA- rejected this past Tuesday.
Hastings
UCLA
USC
CLS
Boalt

Anywhere else I should apply tonight before some of the cutoffs happen? Prefer to practice in Nor Cal.

Chances?

I'd say strong shot at all of the schools listed - Boalt may be a stretch, but worth the app.

It's remarkable how much more competitive transferring has become since ITE kicked off.

A ton of these people getting KO'd by GULC and others would have been shoe-ins a few years back.

I'd say you are in at Fordham, Gtown, and GW - and you have a shot at NYU and Columbia (20-30%) with a slightly better shot at Pen (25-35%).

School: Tier 4 in Georgia
Program: I am in the part-time (I know that outs the school I'm at), I've completed 18 hrs and will have 24 hrs of credit completed at the end of the summer.
Rank: Top 1%
Academic Awards: 2 CALI Awards and a Moot Court spot

Applied:
UGA -- Being reviewed by the Admissions Board. I know being part-time will probably hinder my admissions here, but coming from a family of UGA fans, had to at least try.
Georgia State -- Complete and ready for review; I got priority waitlisted here during last year's general admissions cycle so I'm hoping that will help.

What do y'all think my chances are?

I'd say you definately have the grades - and the in-state will work in your favor. The issue is how much will being a part time student hurt you? I do not know.

I figured I'd give this a go for my sanity (or insanity) as well.

Top 3% of class of 242 students at Indiana (tied at #23). Applying to Chicago, Columbia, NYU, and Northwestern.

Worked during college in corporate development for a middle market company (4 years) and have had several internships, but no actual full-time post grad work experience.

Thoughts? Thank you in advance.

I'll give you:
35% at Chicago
60% at both of C/N
65% at NU (85% if you worked FT and went to undergrad PT or something - if not, I think no FT work experience hurts a little at NU)

Wrong.

Yes to UChi, NU and Columbia. No doubt.

That's just silly. Nothing is "no doubt" in transfers. Obviously, graped has a good shot everywhere, but my understanding is that he/she hasn't applied yet, which is a negative at all schools, if correct. Also, the consensus seems to be that UChi is taking a very small number of transfers this year, a handful of which have already been admitted.
