TTT - Midwest
3.67 (PT) on 2.6/2.7 Curve
#1 in class
Good softs, and significant work experience.

Planning on applying to:
GULC (EA), Emory, SMU, Vanderbilt, Duke, GW, Cornell, UH, Columbia, UM-Ann Arbor (Maybe BU, UV)

If I keep my number 1 spot, I'll even give YHS a shot.

Don't waste your money applying to all those schools. You'll get T-14 if you keep it up.

Columbia - 25%
Mich - 50%
Duke - 40%
Cornell - 35%
GULC (EA/RD) - 55%

99% everywhere else (though no data on vandy)

From a PT program at a TTT? I doubt the chances are anywhere near that good except for GULC PT.

Whoops, completely missed the PT part, sorry. In that case I have no clue, though I agree that GULC is your best shot.

#1 at T20-30
But, I'm in my target market. Want LR + local clerkship, don't see the point...

I would shoot for Y or H regardless, you will be able to make it back to your target market and will be in much better shape for the future.

Yeah, staying put might be the best move in your case since write-on LR for transfers is anything but a sure thing. I'd apply to H and use the acceptances as leverage for a full-ride unless you know you'll already be getting one.

I'm intrigued, always good to get other opinions

School Rank: 72
GPA: 4.00
Rank: top 7% (it's a 4.33 scale)
Early Targets: GULC EA, Chicago ED
RD Targets: Columbia, Chicago (depending on ED), NYU, Michigan, GULC (depending on EA), maybe Cornell

GULC EA - 50% (65% RD)
CHI ED - 35%

Columbia - 35-40%
NYU - 35-40%
Chicago RD - 35-40%
MICH - 50%
Cornell - 55%

I would shoot apps to Berkeley and Penn. I think you can crack the T10, probably not T6 though.

90%. HYS aspirations?

I may send an app to Harvard if I improve my grades. Currently looking at GULC EA, thinking about U Chi ED (have family in the area), and will assess where else I am applying after the school year is over (Penn would be awesome). Would like to work in DC or NYC after graduation. Any suggestions on my GULC app? I am going to submit sometime this week, my LORs and transcripts are already processed. I love DC and have a few friends out there but no real ties to the area. Also my current school is in the west and I have been here all of my life, does this hurt my chances for GULC?

Top 5% at a T30 was good enough for H last year so you do have an outside shot as it is. Being from/in the West will not hurt your chances at GULC, especially since you want DC/NYC. AFAIK GULC doesn't really look for ties other than good reasons for wanting to be there (wanting to work in NYC/DC is one). Only suggestion on the app would be to take it seriously, don't get sloppy just bc you have auto-admit numbers and an LRW assignment looming. My other advice would be that you can do better. I wouldn't ED to Chicago with your numbers because if you maintain or improve your grades you'll have a good shot at HYS and if you drop down to top 5% or so you should have a good shot at all of CCN, top 8% or so should get you T10 (Penn).

I'd say 50% at both. I'm giving you a slight bump (5-10%) for that impressive 4.0.

Thanks man - would really love Palo Alto. Know my chances are slim [and none] at best, but I have strong CA ties and a parent that lives in the bay area. Hoping to hit #1 in my class and really put out an A+ application.. we shall see.

GPA: 4.078 on a 3.3 curve.
PT in T40.
8 credits graded first semester
#1 in section, and probably #1 in whole PT class (at worst, #2)

looking into every T14, especially NYU, Columbia, Cornell, GULC, and Penn.

Unfortunately there really isn't much data out there on PT transfers so I have no idea how it works or who takes them. I'd imagine any school that takes them regularly would be highly interested in the #1 or 2 from a T40 though

School Ranked 34th, Top 5% (Apprx. rank 5 out of 225)

Interested in Midwest:
Univ. of Chicago
Northwestern (no significant work experience, straight from Ugrad)
Georgetown

Any other thoughts on schools I should consider or other transfer strategy advice would be appreciated, Thanks.

I'd get those EA apps out to Chicago and GULC as soon as they are available. If I had to venture a guess, I'd say a top 5% kid can get into both.

I'll play. Currently PT at T1 in the 40s, Top 33% (only given 33/50, estimated around top 25%).

GULC PT
GW PT
UMD PT

Thinking about going back home...
