I'd say you have a good shot at all except Yale, unless you are literally first or second in your class.

Columbia likely, Chi good shot - the trinity are long shots though imo

H - likely no

CCN - good shot - I'd say around 25-30%

Good shot at UCLA and USC - 40-50%

Columbia - 25%

Chicago - 20% (just because they take so few transfers)

So, while I'm complete at Chicago and Northwestern waiting for a decision, I just found out that my undergrad decided not to send some form to NYU and Columbia - so I'm still not being reviewed by them. How bad does this hurt my chances?

Top 3% at top 25 school.

Thanks. Does the fact that I went to UCLA undergrad help my chances at all for UCLA? I figure it doesn't matter for the other schools but who knows

Academic Awards: 2 CALI Awards and a Moot Court spot

Applied:
UGA -- Being reviewed by the Admissions Board. I know being part-time will probably hinder my admissions here, but coming from a family of UGA fans, had to at least try.
Georgia State -- Complete and ready for review; I got priority waitlisted here during last year's general admissions cycle so I'm hoping that will help.

What do y'all think my chances are?

I'd say you definately have the grades - and the in-state will work in your favor. The issue is how much will being a part time student hurt you? I do not know.
Thanks lawschoolgrapedme. Anyone else out there have any idea how trying to transfer from a mixed PT/FT school as a PT student to a full FT school might affect my chances?

You're at a #50 school now? If so I think you should be an auto-admit transfer to U Florida.

??? Holy crap... the median is twoooo point three??? I was going to say how can you be 67/264 if median is 3.3 and you have a 3.94 (would have thought you'd be higher), but now I'm just trying to get my head around this.

But I would think it's worth shooting out the apps. I would try to stress that you are right about the top 25% mark (67/264=25.38) if possible.. CUNY prob very good shot I think, not sure about the others, though I think you have some shot at all of them.

lol; yes at #50 now, it's a geography thing, want to practice in FL. Hopefully they feel the same as you.

You've prob missed most of the deadlines, but did you consider applying to any T14+ schools? Those could prob get you back to FL after school I think. Though if you want to be in FL during the rest of law school then obviously that wouldn't make sense. And I do think the vast majority of schools have a July 1st transfer deadline.

Yeah, it's more the latter, wanting to get back to FL now; I'm honest enough to admit a move to the Northeast didn't work as well as I thought. Went into law school with no plans on transferring, after fall thought about the in-town T14 but as the year went on, I decided to apply to Florida, closely equivalent to the school I'm at now, but essentially moving back to home state (Florida is my UGrad).

Yeah, my school curves to a hard C. 5-10% WILL fail out every year. Let's just say that for most of my classes only 1 or 2 A's were given. I only chose this school because of location. Now I have the ability to move. My family is in NY so we are thinking about moving there but my reach school is FSU. I've been biting my nails ever since I submitted my application. I put a lot of emphasis on my A in Legal Research & Writing and my strong showing in the Moot Court competition. I'm just hoping that it's good enough :-/

I need some honest feedback becuase I don't know whether I should put down the deposit on UVA Law while I wait on Penn, NYU, Columbia, Harvard, and Yale

I'm at at T20 school
Top 2-3% with a 4.0 gpa (converted to a 4.0 scale)
Law Review, 1 CALI
I'm transfering purely for location, I'm from Boston trying to find a school that will have better connects to that market.

3.58 GPA from a school in the 80s that doesn't rank.
I applied to BU, BC, and UConn.

Don't worry, I can take it if I don't have a good shot, I'm just curious (I already applied)

NYU & Columbia - 15% (maybe 20-25% since school in NY)

UCLA - 30%

just an opinion - I have no background on this
