Re: Georgetown EA 2011 Thread
I read through last years thread and a change from both to full-time can be indicative of acceptance and one person stated it too a couple of days before they could get a username and password from the admitted students page. Do they email or snail mail rejections? Also rankings came out today 10/121 8-9%.

Deferred EA but status changed today and granted UN/PWD. Still waiting on word from a couple other schools but thrilled if this means an acceptance (seems consistent across the board).
Stats: T50; 3.86 (Top 5%)
Good luck everyone.

Re: Georgetown EA 2011 Thread
No, at Georgetown. Everyone that changed from Both to either Full-time or Part-time was accepted on the next notification day. Seemed to be Wednesdays. They got snail mail on the following Friday. It appeared all decisions were emailed and snail mailed and that some people couldn't access the admitted students page for a couple of days after receiving the email. Never in a million years thought I had a chance at GULC but we'll see.

I think he meant do you currently attend W&L...because you mentioned rankings.mrosmith wrote:No, at Georgetown. Yea i meant that...small school so I thought i'd guess. Top 8-9% at TTT is a much less sure thing than top 8-9% at W&L :-/Coolgrnmen wrote:I think he meant do you currently attend W&L...because you mentioned rankings.mrosmith wrote:No, at Georgetown. I didn't and still don't think I have a chance. Just status checker and over analysis taking years off my life.

What about GW or American? Do you want to be in DC?mrosmith wrote:I didn't and still don't think I have a chance. Just status checker and over analysis taking years off my life.
With that rank and that school you could probably get into a Tier 1 school...are you happy in the midwest? What about Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois or Indiana? If you blanket those I bet you get in somewhere.

Congrats! Did your status date ever update, or did it ever say "in review" or something along those lines?keg411 wrote:To everyone who got the UN/PW, the Admitted Students site works .

Re: Georgetown EA 2011 Thread
I didn't really check my status checker all that much, but I think I had a prior complete date (though I can't remember what it was -- it might be in the T14 Status Checker thread) until it changed to yesterday's date and I was able to create a user name and password.uzpakalis wrote:Congrats! My status checker updated to complete/today's date, but no such luck with the admitted student site. Gtown would be a stretch for me though...

I also got access to the admitted students website today. How positive are we that this means acceptance? And how long do we think it will take to get it in snail mail? Thanks!
