Transfer Write On Competitions

Postby Danteshek » Mon Aug 23, 2010 2:33 am

I just finished mine. 7 days. 183 page packet. 10 pages inclusive of endnotes. Supplementary Bluebook assignment: correct 10 citations.

Applied to flagship + both secondary journals (international and entertainment).

I wrote onto to Law Review at my old school. Let's hope I can do it again!

Good luck guys! It's been so long since I've done anything law school related that what you are going through doesn't sound half bad (it would if I was having to do it, lol). I'm still asking about it but it doesn't look good for write ons for me. I don't think UW is transfer friendly irt write ons.

3 hours to write 1,500 word comment. Just finished the reading. Now to begin the writing. Lunch comes first, though.

3 hours? Is that because you were lazy and didn't get around to it until the last day, or because the competition was very short?

Did you also go to a local bakery for some rolls?

Has anyone gotten a call or email from a NYU journal, or conversely the ding from the O'Grady? I am only posting this here because I know some transfers to NYU have posted in this tread.

I am the newest member of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review.

Turns out that all the folks on here who told me not to transfer from Southwestern were ____.

Cool. When you're done, can you please explain to me why UCLA Law Review has 17 "Managing Editors"? Seems a little silly, no?
