BROOKLYN LAW OR RUTGERS CAMDEN

Hello All,

If you have any advice or information regarding either school please post your opinions. My time is running out and just to add a little information regarding my situation. If I attend Brooklyn I would commute everyday about an hour to combat living expense in the city, however Rutgers Camden I would receive instate tuition, but have to add living expenses. Difference would be around 10K between the expenses, Brooklyn being the more expensive obviously.

Thank you and I hope to hear what you guys have to say.

My 1L school is Albany Law School. I finished top 25% and I'm paying 30K at that school after a 10K scholarship. Lastly, I dont have a preference of where I would want to work.

I would recommend going with Rutgers Camden, it will save you a good amount of money. I'm currently transferring out of Brooklyn law. I feel the school is very overpriced and the faculty/registrar's office are extremely rude. The school overall gives a very impersonal vibe. Also Brooklyn law's rankings have fallen considerably this year and many I know who are graduating are having difficulties finding a Job. In my opinion I think you should take in state tuition at rutgers, right now Brooklyn law is just not worth the money.

What if Brooklyn provided enough money to make the difference in price by only 5k per year? Additionally, if I attend Brooklyn I would be living with my parents, if I attend Camden I would have to find off campus housing. Lastly, why do you think OCI will not help at either school.

Because both schools have atrociously bad employment statistics and OCI is only good for the cream of the crop at Brooklyn (top 5-10%)

If all things being equal, Id say go with rutgers camden. I really did not like my experience at Brooklyn, I really can't imagine Rutgers Camden being any worse. Also if costs being equal for total tuiton for both schools, I would honestly prefer not living with my parents, just my two cents. Btw when do you have to let them know?
