HLS applicants

Post by tee14 » Thu Jun 24, 2010 5:44 pm

Hey all,

My HLS status checker just went to "application ready for review." Does this mean I'm complete? Anyone else have the same status?

Edit: I sent dean certs before I submitted my application. When I finally submitted my application, I included a copy of my unofficial transcript as an attachment. My current school stated they mailed my transcript this monday but now I'm not sure if my status changed because of my final transcript or simply because they have my unofficial for a tentative decision.

When was your last date of submission? I finally got the last piece of paperwork out today, and I'm hoping to complete my file by early next week.

Saw your edit -- based on my conversations with HLS adcomms, they won't review files until they have received all official docs. So, it's likely that you went from "Incomplete Application" (where I'm at now, unfortunately) directly to "Application Ready for Review," which is code for "Complete," after HLS received your Monday submission this afternoon.

Good luck.

The last component of my application was sent Tuesday morning. The document I had sent Monday has not shown up on the status checker. Snail mail is slower than I remember....

Good luck OP!

Hi All,

So...to confirm, "Application Ready for Review" means Complete at Harvard, yes?

Thanks!

For everyone whose status checker says "Application Ready for Review," does it also at the top of the page say:
Your application to Harvard Law School is being “processed.” This means that we are assembling all required materials and checking for any missing items before we submit your application to the Admissions Committee for review.
I am just wondering if this means that the application is not really complete...

I think it's just boilerplate and everything is ready to go.

How long does it take to go from "application received" to "under review?" I sent in my application over a week ago and it still says "application received".

I don't think that anyone is "under review" at the moment (although I could be wrong). If you want one data point, I got the "Application Received" e-mail on the 8th, and my status checker went to "Ready to Review" on the 18th.

Anyone under review yet? I'm not, but I was just curious because it seems like it should be about that time...

I'm still showing "Application Ready for Review" as of 6/28. I looked at transferapps, and the earliest acceptance I could find for last year came around 7/14...
