When was your file complete?JoJ2124 wrote:In at UCLA today via phone call.
Stats: from T50s school/3.666 GPA/Top 10% (though probably more like 6-7% -- school doesn't give rank above 10%).
Waiting on: NYU, Columbia.

In at Columbia. Email acceptance at 11:54. Deposit must be sent by July 19th. Now I'm just waiting for NYU, which mailed its letter today apparently.

Out of curiosity, did you get an email stating that your application was under review prior to your acceptance? I got one yesterday - not sure what to make of it since no one else seems to have gotten one.
The internet has truly decimated the practical value of form letters .

In at Washington and Lee via e-mail; deposit due by next friday. Not really sure what I am going to do about this, no word from GW, Emory, or W&M. Also not sure about law review and have not yet tried to negotiate my scholarship at current school. Next week should be fun.

I received an e-mail on the 6th for admittance to both schools. I did not receive any e-mail with regard to my application being on hold for further review. I really do not know which way I am leaning right now, which sucks. Any help with regard to either WI or MN?A'nold wrote:Just got in meaning today? How were you notified? Wow, that would definitely be a tough decision. I hear the Twin Cities >> all the Wisconsin for most posters, but not having to take the bar would be awesome. Congrats again!wahlx062 wrote:I received an e-mail on the 6th for admittance to both schools. I did not receive any e-mail with regard to my application being on hold for further review. Well, I chose to apply to Wisco over Minnesota, so I am a little biased. Madison is awesome, the clinics are right at the top, and the school seems to have a strong history and tradition. I know that might not be the popular choice because of rank or w/e else, but it's the choice I made.wahlx062 wrote: I received an e-mail on the 6th for admittance to both schools. Have a cousin in Madison (UG) and he loves it. Not sure how it is for professional schools, but it seems to doing a few things right. At least its ranking went up (?).transplantedbuckeye wrote:Well, I chose to apply to Wisco over Minnesota, so I am a little biased. I mean, I made the opposite choice (b/w Wisco and Minn.) b/c my wife really likes Minnesota and we will likely live in whatever region I graduate from but I kind of wish I had applied now, especially since they are sending out decisions so soon.

I feel Ike u of wisc has a better overall reputation than u minn that's something you may want to consider. It's an amazing place!

Hmmm. My brother and newborn niece live in Madison - I didn't mention that in my application, personal statement, etc, but I did mention it in a couple emails with admissions regarding my transcripts. Anyone care to speculate on what it means that I'm the only person who received an "under review" email?wahlx062 wrote:

I got that email too before I was admitted. It was just an email saying I was complete and am ready for review. Is that what you are referring to?

Ah, ok, good. Thanks for the heads up - I was inclined to view it as a bad sign.

Re: Official 2010 Transfer Cycle Results Thread
While I am still waiting on a few higher ranked schools, I have to start thinking about the only decision I have in front of me. I was hoping I could get some advice. I am currently at Catholic (#98 scared to death to fall in to the T3 as we have dropped from 88 in 2 years) in DC approx top 18% with law review. I recently was accepted at W&L with a seat deposit due next friday, an expensive seat deposit. My question is, obviously I am hoping from an admit from a higher school but if my option was between W&L and Catholic + LR what would you choose?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
