Hey everyone,
I was wondering, what would it take (gpa, class rank) for me to transfer from golden gate university to University of San Francisco or Santa Clara University? What about transferring to Hastings? I looked around but there isn't much information on how many people have actually attempted to transfer between these schools. Thanks for the info.

My understanding is that for transferring within the Bay Area from GGU:

If you made the top 3 - 5% you have a shot at Boalt (according to posts on Yahoo Transfers forum, they took 5 GGU transfer students last year)
If you made top 5% - 10% you have a shot at Hastings (again according to Yahoo Transfers forums they usually take 2 - 4 GGU students)
If you made top 15% (although some posts have suggested it is a possibility down to 25%) you have a shot at USF/Santa Clara

Most of this is information that I have found on Yahoo! Transfers forum, or other internet forums so I can't really vouch for its accuracy. Also, Boalt doesn't take transfers from part-time programs (which effects many GGU students).

Hey, do you know whether Hastings accepts PT student transfers? They don't have a PT program themselves, so curious as to how a PT transfer would fit in.

According to the Hastings website a "student must have completed or being in the process of completing at least 24 semester units to be eligible for transfer." At GGU a regular PT student will have 21 credits at the end of their first year. Since Hastings explicitly says you can be "in the process of completing" credits, it sounds like a PT student would be eligible if they were taking at least 3 credits during summer session when they submitted their application. I don't have confirmation of this from any official source.
