CSO told me a 3.8 would be viewed as a 3.5 at GULC. Not sure how that fairs compared to the rest of the class? Top 1/3? Just above median?

What have you guys heard about transfers and OCI from last year? The CSO I met before said that they do just as well as regular gtown students, but I find this kind of hard to believe.

Any other OCI info anyone might have?
The entire 2L class last year did poorly at OCI. The transfers generally do proportionally as well, but at the moment that's not too hot. As of sometime in the spring, only about 30-40% of the 2L class had BigLaw gigs lined up.

I'll be there. Moved into apartment last week. How did you guys do with you OCI bidding? I snagged 9 interviews, which I guess could be worse. Certainly better than where I am transferring from.

wait, in simplicity do you click on OCI >> scheduled interviews >> early interview week 2010 ??

i just checked and there are 15 firms there! is that even possible?? i didnt even do any research and simply bid straight down on the first 50 NYC big law firms because i was on vacation during the deadline

Just got my place! Finalllllllly. I'm really excited about making the move out to DC. I am coming from CA, and will be flying out there this upcoming Monday. We should have a little get together shindig at some place nearby. Where is everyone living at this year? Did any of you get on campus housing? I will be at the Loree Grand, this apartment building about .7 miles away from campus.

Have any of you guys enrolled in classes yet? Are we suppose to have already done this? Being transfer students, I am sure we will be able to pick some electives, but does this occur during orientation time?

I would get in touch with the registrar. The deadline for pre-registering was a couple weeks ago. They do some sort of complicated lottery system based on the pre-registered classes and then we find out what classes we got into at the transfer orientation. Good luck!

Yeah I missed the deadline on this, but got in touch with them real quickly after it and they put my picks in before they ran the lottery. I logged onto MyAccess the other day and saw I was registered for some classes, so I'm pretty sure they already ran the lottery. I'd call them ASAP.

Where did you find this in MyAccess? Under registration?

hey guys- i still haven't registered for my classes yet. I am in the process of doing that right now, but I was wondering if any of you guys knew of the site where students review/rate the professors and if there is somewhere we could see grade distributions for each course. I am aware of http://www.law.georgetown.edu/system/ac ... elcome.cfm but i was wondering if there was one that was more like ratemyprofessor.com where students could openly discuss how they felt about certain professors- in fact, someone posted it on TLS earlier, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. also, does anyone know where i can find grade distributions (i.e., how many A's, B's and C's the profs give out). Thanks!

I know that GTown is on a set curve where something like 5% gets As, 15% get A-, 30% get B+, etc. so I don't think individual professors have the discretion to give out more or less "As"

Yeh, so I was wrong. They just got released. How did you guys fare? I got onto the one I listed 5th. Curious if anyone made it onto one of the big boys (Law Journal, Tax, etc...)

There are two transfers (one from GMU and one from GWU) on the main Law Journal.
