I mean, would it really be worth it at that point, assuming you are on scholly, to transfer to UCLA or USC? I would say probably, but being a top dog at a school in the local area it seems you want to work wouldn't be such a bad thing.

Yes, I would love to stay at Southwestern, and will be perfectly happy if I do. The problem is that I am interested in securities law (my background is in finance). If I don't get into the SEC when I graduate (going there this summer), I'd probably need to join a large firm. There are smaller firms that do securities law, but not that many.

However, being on a law journal is important to me, so that weighs in favor of staying at Southwestern. Getting published is one of my goals. I'm going to start work on an article this summer on the Goldman Sachs scandal.

That sounds really cool. It'd be nice to have some kind of idea in hell of what you want to do post-graduation. I'm all over the place. I'm pretty sure I'd like to clerk, but as for after that I'm really at a loss.

As deadlines approach, and I just got all of my grades in, I thought I would give this a bump back to the front page. Dunno if anyone else finds it useful or not, but its just a reminder that Berkeley is due in 2 weeks and some of the write ons as well

so the Columbia app states that if you submit grades through LSAC, you must also tell them how grades are evaluated at your school. Does anyone have any ideas what this means?

Im guessing they want a ranking or percentile chart or something? I actually decided to just send in grades straight to the schools just to cut out the middle man.

TITCR +1 and also possible a letter of good standing depending on the school, i haven't looked at columbia's app however.

Hmm, hopefully it's just the rank then, which of course, I still don't have. Maybe I will double up and send another transcript straight there, it says the same exact thing either way though doesn't it?

Anyone else applying to UCLA and NYU find it incredibly hard to cut down to a page or two (mine is a little over 3) - i know most people are shorter but i might as well just write a new statement for those two

It is difficult to cut PS down to 2 pg., even with playing with margins, font, etc.

UCLA was smart enough to specify that it must be double space 12 point font. I'm considering not even applying hahaha

Im sending all of mine directly to the school. I sent an update one to LSAC well over a week ago adn it still hasn't been uploaded. Figured i should just send them to the schools directly.

Are you just ordering the transcripts to the school online through your student account, or are you picking up a copy and sending it?
