Acceptances are always by mail. Rejections are always by e-mail. That's how I understand it.JR00576 wrote:Interesting news! Was told by the admissions office that some decisions this year will be by mail, and some will be by email. Do you think the acceptances will be by mail and the rejections by email or vica versa?

Deposit due May 10th ($400). There is an option where you can commit and not pay any deposit, but you have to agree to not apply anywhere else. It says they will send an email in a couple days about accessing the admitted students website. The letter is dated yesterday it got sent out yesterday as well.
Good luck guys

Yes, yes it does. No one's even paying attention at this point and the classes just devolve into people asking inane questions.kings84_wr wrote:Still having classes must suckapper123 wrote:lol waiting for Ks to end so i can go home is going to suck

So for those who are still under review, what should we expect in the coming weeks? Either denials or deferrals to regular admission by e-mail? Or will there be another wave of EA acceptances?

Supposedly, another wave of acceptances. However, I don't see why that would happen. Why wouldn't they just tell everyone at the same time? Its not like they are going to hear back from soem EA's that they won't be attending or soemthing and then let more in. I am guessing basically a ton of deferrals with a few rejections. No clue at how they are dispersed though I am sure someone does.puke006 wrote:So for those who are still under review, what should we expect in the coming weeks? I'm still holding out hope that another wave will go out today. Kings is an auto-admit as well as yourself and a few others on here.

No prob. I'm at a T3 pretty close to Gtown and usually a person or two transfers every year to Gtown. I had a 3.92 my first semester. All As except for an A-. 3.0 undergrad; 168 LSAT;Pilaf Rocket wrote:XM2045:

So am I. I obviously would love it. But, if you haven't noticed, I am huge hedger in this area and also am trying to be as much of a realist as possible (closer to the side of pessimist). Even if there isn't another wave though - I think most of us would be admitted regular decision (hell, maybe even save us some money on the deposit since I know for most of us it is not our target. Also, A'nold, you will definitely get in somewhere in the t14. As for Kings, he's obviously got bigger fish to fry the GULC EA (perhaps they realize that) and is a lock for SEVERAL other t14 schools.A'nold wrote:stinger35 wrote:Supposedly, another wave of acceptances. Ok After watching the NFL Draft last night I feel like Jimmy Clausen right now. Californians that went to school in Indiana. . . Ok the comparison ends there haha.
Edit to add: Ok one last theory on yesterdays acceptance is school location, it seems like a lot of you guys that got in are DC/VA area.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
Wow...just discovered this board today...the very same day that it seems people are getting acceptance packets.
I'm not sure what my chances are...I thought that they were good until I saw the numbers of the people applying on this board.
My stats:
3.6 (A-, A-, A-, B+) at Tulane (lower ranked Tier 1)
163 LSAT
3.4 UGPA from Berkeley
Teach for America for two years before law school
Year long legal clinic during 1L year
I'm an EA applicant...applied a few days before the deadline. My status changed to Under Review a few days ago (not sure exactly when). Will keep everyone posted and good luck to you guys!

This furthers the notion that for transferring schools prefer to take students from "home schools" versus schools they are not familiar withkings84_wr wrote:Ok After watching the NFL Draft last night I feel like Jimmy Clausen right now.
