it seems that some people in this group have "solid" numbers. Not auto admit, but solid. Others in this group have almost "auto reject" numbers. I am not sure what this means. Guessing ding and wl?

because we have a lot of "auto rejects" in this batch. No "auto admits" and some mid levels.

If they are rejections will they come via email? GULC sent acceptances via snail mail and deferments via email.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
Begging for an e-mail. Let's keep it quick and as painless as possible. Waiting a week or two just for rejection snail mail seems especially cruel given the short timeframe of the transfer processchitown825 wrote:If they are rejections will they come via email? Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
hmm it seems that in 08 they did wl with email and letter.
it just seems odd if this was not a reject pile that they would accept middl tier people before the higher ranked people are reviewed.

That's the only thing I've been thinking of as well... the remaining obvious admits will be getting lots of acceptances next week though from Top 10 schools. Maybe they're keeping it all together--still doesn't make sense, though.

3%/T40 and Still under Review. And sad. This is a redux of the EA nightmare...And I readily admit, yes, I am whining right now. Sorry.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
the thing that doesnt make sense is that we have pretty good stats. not autoadmit but not reject.
10-12% T50 DR both.

That's why you haven't sold me on your reject theory. This is especially true if the people with the least-impressive numbers applied PT.thexfactor wrote:the thing that doesnt make sense is that we have pretty good stats. not autoadmit but not reject.
*include FT/PT/both in your post

Looking at these numbers I think this is a wave of acceptances.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
spoke too soon.... some people are T4 20%s
others like T50 5% arent in and have been in review for a long time.
If i see one person who is otp 40 5% and went DR i will be really happy.

I mean, looking at the transfer database, people w/ good #'s get rejected every year. Sorry if that is the case for you folks.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
I'd obviously like to hope that these are acceptance to both full and part time programs - given the range of numbers.
I live in DC so will let you all know as soon as I get anything in the mail (or email of course).
EA they deferred us by e-mail. And in last year's thread, they sent out e-mails for waitlists.
