Recently tweeted by Iowa Law...

U Iowa law grads take leading roles in Blagojevich defense, Arizona Immigration law case as lawyers and a judge: http://news-releases.uiowa.edu/2010/jul ... cases.html

Not sure if that is something you want to be braaaaagging about, per se, but interesting nonetheless.

Has anyone bought the book for orientation? I just checked in Amazon and there are some pretty good prices.

Welcome! And 'the early bird gets the worm?' I'm not sure how this saying applies to law school. Maybe it's referring to the worm at the bottom of the tequila bottle?

Hopefully, I'll be able to maintain the same schedule I have now for work. Mon - Friday: Wake up at around 6:30, enjoy a cup of coffee, get to the office by 8, get off at 5, misc. activities in the evening (exercising, socializing, reading, watching tv, etc), and in bed around 11. ... I'm guessing the evenings will be fewer miscellaneous activities and more studying, but i'm gonna try to treat law school like a job... Hopefully, our weekends wont be too law-filled.

I actually dont mind the whole waking up early so i'm excited not to have classes in the afternoons.. anyways i just bought the orientation book at amazon for 14.99. Do you know if the supplementary materials are going to be given to us or if we have to buy them in advance?

Thanks. I haven't received my orientation packet from the school and I'm feeling a bit behind.

I think the supplementary materials are provided to us. I get the feeling they will be photocopied materials, not a book. They might even be mailed to us.

I'd guess that they will be in the form of a course pack that we'll have to buy at Zephyr's.

I reread the packet, my best guess is check at the law school bookstore starting July 26 for the packet.

Yeah, we got all of our course packs there for undergrad. It can get pretty expensive, because you have to pay for printing, binding and royalties.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't seem to figure out what section I'm in. Is it supposed to be in the packet they mailed?

Yes, it's the blue pages, with "Fall 2010 Entrants" on the top. It's on the last page of the packet with the Fall 2010 course offerings and exam schedule.

Does anyone in Seville have interest in sharing an internet connection? I signed up for cable today and if somebody is close I'd love to share the bill. It'll be $15/month each for this service (less if more people are interested):

I'll provide the router. No activation fees, modem fees, etc.

PM me if interested.

Do we need to register for the laptop class, or can we just show up after the accessing online class? It doesn't specifiy.
