You can actually log into your my.fordham.edu account without a school ID#. That lists all of the paperwork they have received (with regards to Fin Aid - it doesn't show your registration forms). It also shows which loans/what kind of aid you're set to receive.

That's so cool, thanks!! How do you log in, though? I tried registering for access and it couldn't find my information...

EDIT: never mind- i was able to register and log in. thanks, meluv!

Any of you in off the WL have any luck with scholarships? How does need-based aid work? What's the most anyone's seemed to have gotten? Do you think they'll make me put down a seat deposit before they tell me, like some other schools?
I've got a week to decide if I want Fordham and am much too poor to not make money a big factor in my current situation.

edit: still no access to the blackboard site but should be receiving an email that'll hopefully give me info on that then?

Reason #338 that I love Hannah: she cites her sources/gives their phone numbers.

thanks =)

4:30 edit. LOVE Fordham. Still haven't gotten the email or stepped out of the office to call financial aid... but Dean Brown called me directly about it! they rock.

For anyone who is still 22 or younger, New York Sports club offers an all access pass for 20 bucks a month so long as you pay 120 bucks up front. Its a reallly solid deal. i will be 23 in August so I baarely qualify for the deal.

Springsteen, this is the Fordham site I found their Stafford Loan App on. It's a little tricky to find if you don't have directions heh:

so you just need to be 22 WHEN you pay for the first 6 months? so, say, if someone's birthday was this friday, they could still do it?

The admitted students site says registration starts at 1:30, so that's when I'm planning on showing up. There's an optional tour at 12:30, but I don't really want to walk around the building anymore until classes start. See you all there!

First a tour and some refreshments then a welcome by the dean (talked alot about cupcakes) and a couple of professors. One spoke about how the BP situation will be litigated and the other spoke about how TV shows that depict the law compare to the actual practice of law.

Then evryone divided into groups and took turns going into 20 minute sessions that discussed financial aid, clinics, intellectual property and one more thing that i forgot.

After that a meeting with career services and planning for like 45 minutes and then a BBQ.

Very relaxed atmosphere throughout.................

here's a tip for gym deals:
join gilt:
http://www.gilt.com/invite/phattibooty
they occasionally have crunch memberships on sale for about 599$ for the year which is a crazy deal. it's been awhile since they've last had it.

also good for nyc:
groupon and lifebooker
they offer deals on things like, personal training sessions, yoga classes, pilates classes, bootcamp classes, dinner, drinks, hair care, waxing and a plethora of other services. it's great.
pm your email address for an invite, that way we both get a $5 credit.
