I thought they automatically set you up the personal email firstname.lastname@law.nyu.edu

I tried this, but it didn't work. I suppose I will email admissions on Monday if I haven't gotten my ID # yet, which is 13 days after the deposit.kumba84 wrote:Ok, I was just able to set up my NYU home account and email address through the admitted students website, even though I never received that deposit confirmation email. I have to say I was a little disappointed to be assigned a random-looking email address along the lines of ab8392@nyu.edu, but apparently you can set up another, easy to remember account, and then they'll merge together.
None that I've gotten so far (submitted a week and a half ago).cboo wrote:Just submitted my deposit! I did it on-line. Does anyone know if you get any sort of confirmation other than the immediate e-mail from billmatrix?
I think the deposit confirmation is the same e-mail where they give you the ID.BenJ wrote:None that I've gotten so far (submitted a week and a half ago).cboo wrote:Just submitted my deposit! Did you get your ID# yet, Bai? I assume you submitted a couple of weeks ago to make the scholarship deadline.BaiAilian2013 wrote:I think the deposit confirmation is the same e-mail where they give you the ID.BenJ wrote:None that I've gotten so far (submitted a week and a half ago).cboo wrote:Just submitted my deposit! Did you pay the deposit also? My understanding is they want you to accept the scholly and pay the deposit now rather than by the regular deadline.democrattotheend wrote:Just submitted my form to accept the scholarship. NYU, here I come (unless by some miracle I get off the Harvard waitlist, but then it will be a tough decision).
Any other future NYU students in the DC area want to meet up?
I was going to pay the deposit by mail to avoid the fee. Do you think that's not okay, since today was the deadline?yeff wrote:Did you pay the deposit also? Oh, and I'm up for a NYU-in-DC meet.

I just talked to the financial aid office. What I understand from what they told me is that that regardless of whether you get your appeal or not, you must submit your intent to enroll and deposit before the end of the business day. They are trying to get the re-negotiated offers out as fast as they can. So if you thought you had until 9 p.m. or something, you don't .
I called and they said to use your ssn.democrattotheend wrote:I'm trying to submit my deposit online, but it is asking for a student ID #. I thought we don't get those until after we enroll. Are we supposed to just use our social security # or our LSAC #?
Thanks for the advice. I decided to just do it online. I think I was hesitating because I was still agonizing about the choice. Until last night I was 90% sure I was going to UVA.yeff wrote:neimanmarxist wrote:IMPORTANT NEWS FOR EVERYONE WITH A 4/19 SCHOLLY DEADLINE @ NYU:

Based on this...you have only a couple of hours max. I'd call them right now to ask.
Wow - what happened to cause the switch?democrattotheend wrote:I think I was hesitating because I was still agonizing about the choice. Until last night I was 90% sure I was going to UVA.
Long story...I'll tell you about it when we meet in person. Speaking of which, when do you want to meet? Any other DC-area people want to join?yeff wrote:Wow - what happened to cause the switch?democrattotheend wrote:I think I was hesitating because I was still agonizing about the choice.
