rad!! congrats! If you're sure you're attending, you can still fill out the deposit waiver commitment and they'll apply your deposit towards your tuition.tigrelis wrote:I just got the email for Law Center Scholarship!! $30K per year yayy, good thing I sent in my deposit yesterday anyway haha. So stoked about this!

Re: GULC c/o 2013
Just got a scholarship!! $7500 per year ($22,500 total), so it'll cover a semester of tuition! That'll help keep my loans under control and then, go go gadget LRAP!
I'm so excited!!! I'm sending in my scholarship commitment form tonight, along with my tuition deposit waiver form (Just to make sure they KNOW i'm going haha).
The forms said I can email them, so my signature is just considered an electronic signature? Is that right?

Wow! Grats! 120 K is great. Way to go.
I don't have a scholarship, but apparently Senator Gillibrand is excited to meet me. And I'm going to a lunch at Milbank Tweed in two weeks. Better make sure my suit's not wrinkled.
What I don't have in money I make up in schmoozing.

Quick question: Can I fax the financial aid letter in after I sign it or does it have to be mailed?

Those of you signing and returning the financial aid letter -- Is this the award letter with loan amounts, etc.? My award letter did not instruct me to sign it and return it. Anyone else *not* receive instructions to sign and return it?

Yeah it has all the loan amounts listed. Mine has two identical copies, one is to return to them and the other is to keep for my records. Underneath the date in the upper right hand corner it says something like, "Please sign and return within three weeks of the date above."js87 wrote:Those of you signing and returning the financial aid letter -- Is this the award letter with loan amounts, etc.? they didn't tell me to return mine either. maybe this has to do with not getting grants or scholarship. not sure...js87 wrote:Those of you signing and returning the financial aid letter -- Is this the award letter with loan amounts, etc.? Question, if we applied and were accepted ED, do we have to do anything in terms of the first deposit? I already sent in my form saying I would attend like back in January...

For those who plan to live in Gewirz, don't forget to do your housing application ASAP, as they're doing the lottery next week!

Re: GULC c/o 2013
Thank you guys, I did end up calling and they cleared it up. If you are NOT receiving grants from financial aid (need based) you do not need to return anything to them.nax425 wrote:they didn't tell me to return mine either. maybe this has to do with not getting grants or scholarship. not sure...js87 wrote:Those of you signing and returning the financial aid letter -- Is this the award letter with loan amounts, etc.? I'm stoked to find out about my housing assignment. I hope they tell us next week. It'll be nice to know where we'll be living when we move across the country, haha.
