Anyone else in Gewirz having major internet problems? I've had issues since I moved in. My ethernet port worked for like 15 mins, then stopped working. Tech support came today and fixed it, or so I thought. It stopped working again. The wireless coverage in my room is terrible, so I get kicked off repeatedly. When it is connected via wireless, it's extremely slow.
Very frustrating with classes right around the corner.

Are any of you the guy in section 2 who decided to respond to a true/false question on loan forgiveness by lecturing the class on bankruptcy v. death and dismemberment?

Can someone tell me about the Moot Court program later today? Can we just show up to Hart Auditorium or is there something ie reading or signing up that has to be done beforehand? Thanks.

Re: GULC c/o 2013
ODOS e-mailed us a PDF with info about the case (3 pages). I believe you just show up. They may run out of room though and force people to watch it on tv in rm 206 or 207 - my schedule notes it is simulcast in those rooms.GoNU wrote:Can someone tell me about the Moot Court program later today? I know he is in a different section Burberry by Burberry, but I, probably wrongly, thought the ethics session would be the same for everyone.
Strasburg is out for the season now.

OTOH, the true section 2 gunner doesn't need to outline anything. He just knows it all. In fact, he will not go to class to learn, but rather to further advance the discussion with his knowledge.D. If you have Bonneau, her first day assignments page specifically says to use the 19th edition. If you don't have her you might be fine with the 18th.starrydecisus wrote:I have the 18th edition of the Bluebook from my undergraduate coursework. Thanks, MSPeast! I have Cedrone, but seeing this, I'm now probably still going to buy the 19th edition anyway....MSPeast wrote:If you have Bonneau, her first day assignments page specifically says to use the 19th edition. Anyone else in Section 4 get the email about the shocking turn of events? What a depressing way to start the semester.

I am very sorry to inform you that Professor Steven Goldberg, who was scheduled to teach Constitutional Law I in Section 4 this fall, passed away unexpectedly Thursday evening.

Yikes. I wonder who will replace him for Con Law. I'm in S2, though, and we have Con Law in the spring with Barnett. Profs here pass away every few months. Ginsburg did over this summer, I believe (Ruth's husband who taught here).Torvon wrote:Anyone else in Section 4 get the email about the shocking turn of events? We will have Prof. Viet Dihn instead, also a very respected conlaw scholar.
I'm really bummed about this. My friend who graduated L'02 had told me he was the best professor she ever had.

Dinh was supposed to teach my small section in S1. Now I think they are splitting my small section and putting a third of us into each of the other small sections, so thats unfortunate.
At least I discovered a Red Sox bar last night.

Dear fellow TLSers:
I've been bumped from Dinh's con law small group to gottesman's. Just wondering if anyone would be willing to let me borrow the case book for a while when you're not using it so i can do the reading for mondays class? i live in gewirz, and i'll pass it back whenever you want.
