Thanks! Man, this stuff is really picking up. Gotta fax a bunch of forms today. Just wrote my good bye email at work. Gotta figure out the girlfriend situation within the next week. :D

For Contracts, everyone has the class for 240 minutes per week (either 3 X 80 or 4 X 60), except for the three sections that have Mahoney, whose class is inexplicably 5 X 60. Jeffries' Crim class is 3 X 50, whereas Coughlin's and Brown's are 3 X 60. And so on.

Mahoney, being the dean, doesn't have a fixed class schedule because of other engagements he has. He will only teach four days a week, but those four days change each week, which explains why he's listed as teaching all five days. Don't worry, people who are in Mahoney's class won't have to endure 60 extra minutes of contracts each week. I don't know what's explains the differences in crim classes though.

The Mahoney thing is good to know. Interestingly, though, even after accounting for that, the amount of class time per week varies up to 70 minutes between sections, from 830 minutes (E, F) to 900 minutes (C, D, G, I, K). I'm not sure whether to root for more time to learn from professors or more time to study. :|

B and K look pretty epic to me. D is not a bad place to end up either.

More importantly, which section(s) do we not want to end up in

Property (E, F) (S11 Sect 4) Bagley, Margo A. TWR 1000-1120

I'm naming names.

IMO, though, Section F potentially has the best lineup. Or second best after K.

There are certainly no sections who stick out as "teh best" like Section A did last year.

^Correct. F has Bagley in the Spring though so that takes them down a notch.

You would have been lucky to get Mahoney for 300 minutes a week. He's the man. I had him but his awesomeness was counterbalanced by that man. That suit... THAT SUIT.

Honestly, I think H had a pretty good selection of professors last year. It depends on which class you prioritize - I would be most concerned about CivPro - and would be happiest with Collins, Nelson, or Mitchell.

It's a funny feeling to combine the awkwardness of being on the outside of an inside joke with the knowledge that I will soon be on the inside.

In the spirit of UVA's B+ curve and secret grading, a review of 1L professors including the spring not including LRW (just my opinion including potentially limited knowledge of certain professors):

Section A: 1 A, 5 B+ (3.42)
Section B: 2 A-, 3 B+, 1 B- (3.33)
Section C: 1 A, 4 B+, 1 B (3.37)
Section D: 1 A, 1 A-, 3 B+, 1 B (3.43)
Section E: 1 A, 2 B+, 2 B, 1 B- (3.22)
Section F: 3 A, 2 B+, 1 B- (3.55)
Section G: 1 A, 1 A-, 3 B+, 1 B (3.43)
Section H: 1 A, 2 A-, 3 B+ (3.55)
Section I: 1 A, 2 A-, 3 B+ (3.55)

Section J: 2 A, 4 B+ (3.53)
Section K: 2 A-, 2 B+, 2 B (3.33)
Section L: 1 A, 1 A-, 2 B+, 2 B (3.38)

I'm curious as to why you aren't as high on Section K as others?

The others were only considering the fall semester for one thing.

My personal evaluation of the professors for each section using UVA's B+ curve grading system (the one that tortures students) and then computing it into a GPA...

...or magic.
