I'm a Zima and tennis kind of guy myself.
You must've been devastated when Zima went off the market.

Me, I play bocce ball with an Arbor Mist in hand.

Would like to give a shout out to the Cavalier Men's Soccer team for taking home the National Championship earlier today.

Since I'm 0L and have not met him, I'm not sure how the Senior Assistant Dean pronounces it, but the typical pronunciation is True-hee-yo. I also knew someone that went by True-hill-o

awesome. ok how do you pronounce Faulk? is it the same as faulkner?
Yuppers (at least, I wasn't corrected while using that pronunciation).

Congrats on the acceptance. I'm actually leaning more towards UVA next year.
Thanks. I was really impressed; randomly ran into folks from my college, even got to meet YCRev for coffee :)

Thanks. I actually have a serious post though. Ever since becoming UVA c/o 2013, I have found it very difficult to work on anything. I'm still in grad school right now, and I really ought to pass my classes (or at least turn in my papers today). Is anyone else too excited to focus on job, school, etc? Does anyone have excitement mitigation strategies?

Here is an excitement mitigation strategy.

Friendy of mine got accepted in November with a 3.88GPA last year, in December she updated her grades and it had dropped to a 3.85 or something, they said if she didn't get it above 3.87 they would rescind. True story--needless to say, she took yoga, tennis, and basketweaving in large #'s.

I can understand that. Now you've guilted me into going back to studying for finals instead of browsing this thread.

Yeah that chart is pretty impressive.

I know they often require you to keep up your GPA, but they only go by LSDAS's reckoning of it. And technically you don't have to resubmit your grades - so if your average is fine now, it's possible to just keep it that way without resubmitting (which also involves less cost and effort: win win).

Why the hell would she update her LSAC Transcript if her GPA went down? That has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever heard on TLS.
