Congrats on the acceptance. I'm actually leaning more towards UVA next year.

Re: UVA Class of 2013
Thanks. I actually have a serious post though. Ever since becoming UVA c/o 2013, I have found it very difficult to work on anything. I'm still in grad school right now, and I really ought to pass my classes (or at least turn in my papers today). Is anyone else too excited to focus on job, school, etc? Does anyone have excitement mitigation strategies?Philo38 wrote:Yes! Fantastic.HeelsforHoos wrote:Carefully.bowie8285 wrote: awesome. ok how do you pronounce Faulk?

Here is an excitement mitigation strategy.
Friendy of mine got accepted in November with a 3.88GPA last year, in December she updated her grades and it had dropped to a 3.85 or something, they said if she didn't get it above 3.87 they would rescind. True story--needless to say, she took yoga, tennis, and basketweaving in large #'s.

I can understand that. Now you've guilted me into going back to studying for finals instead of browsing this thread.HeelsforHoos wrote:Thanks. I actually have a serious post though. I know they often require you to keep up your GPA, but they only go by LSDAS's reckoning of it. And technically you don't have to resubmit your grades - so if your average is fine now, it's possible to just keep it that way without resubmitting (which also involves less cost and effort: win win).

I'm the proud owner of the 3rd lowest GPA to report acceptance at UVA this cycle.HeelsforHoos wrote:bowie8285 wrote: i can totally see that happening. Why the hell would she update her LSAC Transcript if her GPA went down? That has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever heard on TLS.Cupidity wrote:Here is an excitement mitigation strategy.
