I'm working til about the 3rd of August but otherwise I am just trying to read a bunch of books I haven't gotten to yet since I doubt I'll have much time to read for leisure. I'd like to get my MW2 rank to 70 (currently 55) but I doubt that will happen with Star Craft 2 coming out.

I'm finishing up OneL right now. It's interesting just to see the level of stress people have gone through. Plus, I love reading about the way things were decades ago, including things we won't have to worry about (like writing exams on a portable typewriter).

Turrow doesn't really mention the specific supplements. You should probably wait until classes start to find the right supplements for each class/professor. I read Law School Confidential and there are some suggestions in there as well.

I'll start on GTM next week and then will listen to the audio CD's for LEEWS. Both of these will have to be reviewed again after school starts.

wow...glad i actually mentioned something that i thought was just a useless bit of information about how i'm spending my days. as it was practically forced into my hands i just started into it without thinking about actual preparation for this year. most advice i've gotten has been "just don't think about law school until you get there" but now you guys have me re-thinking that position...

i wouldn't do any actual prep (like reading cases, hornbooks or e&e's) but i think reading Getting to Maybe and Law School Confidential is enough just to get an idea of what you'll be facing (the process of law school and exams, not the specific material). I think LEEWS may be overkill, especially since it's more useful after classes start, but I already have the cd's so what's a couple of hours?

Last day of work is Friday.
Then I'm in Las Vegas Saturday through Tuesday.
I leave town that Thursday and get to D.C. on Friday, and move in to my apartment on Saturday. Classes start 8/30.

Volunteered at the local courthouse last week.
Now, just the same thing I've been doing the rest of the summer: lots of reading, chillin at the beach/lakes by my place, copious resort to the bottle, watching South Park and Law & Order, and just generally fuckin around and kickin it.
Orientation starts the 31st.
Then fun dies.

Working, exercising, growing tomatoes and peppers, watching Curb Your Enthusiasm, reading about Taoist hermits. Going on vacation for about two weeks just before orientation. Other than work, which has become incredibly stressful, it's been so nice that I'm kind of wondering what I'm doing going to school! (Not really, but you know...)

I bought some materials for basic 0L prep and then pretty much completely forgot about them until this week. Gonna try to squeeze that in before orientation at the end of the month.
