Anyone know of anyone from our school who heard back from Strasburger or Griffith Nixon Davison?

Last year, GND didn't send offers until late September. Things could always change though.

They seem like a huge Baylor firm anyway.

As a former student of a soon to be former Big 12 school, I believe this severely hurt my chances. Literally first question was about the potential move and what I thought about it.

On a side note, Ginsburg may be the tiniest lady I've ever seen.

Same thing happened to me during my Bickel & Brewer interview. We made fun of the "stupid Aggies" (the interviewer was also a Baylor guy, haha).

I think SMU needs to offer a class on right-of-way laws when exiting a garage.

Here's a hint - the people on the street have it, Ms. Gold Toyota Camry.

Things will be so much better once the 1Ls stop coming to class.

Per Facebook, one of our classmates got an offer.

(I'm excited for her, but the status announcing the good news was... yeah  ).

That makes me so glad I don't have Facebook.

So I shouldn't put up my offers from Wachtell, Cravath, and Susman on facebook?

I still regret accepting the friend request from David Boies.

Nothing wrong with that. Why does this shit need to be so secretive? When I bring up the subject of interviews, people act like I just asked them if they fucked their mother. If someone gets an offer, and it makes his or her classmate jealous, tough shit. Sure, if an announcement is made in an arrogant manner, it's not cool. But there is nothing wrong with telling people you got a job. I still cannot see how it benefits a person to keep their callbacks and stuff secret. Am I missing something?

Maturity and happiness for other people's success is not exactly a law students strong suit. That being said, if I got an offer you wouldn't find out from facebook, you would know because I was running around the quad screaming it naked. Why naked? Why not.

I feel neutral on anyone's success but my own. What I'm talking about is someone acting like, if I ask him or her how OCI went, it would somehow disadvantage that person and benefit me if I became aware of his or her success or failure. It's fucking weird. If anyone wants to know how I did, I'll tell 'em, straight up. Maybe it will help them know on which firms to give up.

I can see not broadcasting it (like on Facebook, but I do not partake, so I am not sure how it works), but I agree about regular conversations with people. Stop acting like I dropped a scorpion in your pants. If you got an offer from Cravath NYC, that's nothing to be ashamed about.

Some people will get awesome offers, some people won't. The world keeps turning.

In fairness, the Facebook post was in the form of one girl congratulating another. Even if it was posted by the girl herself, I don't see how it's that bad. I mean, people post on Facebook after they take a larger-than-usual morning dump. I can't fault someone for posting that they just landed a high-paying job.
