I'm not sure where people go about finding this information. Anyone know how to find out when classes are offered? Like, are they offered only in the fall, or fall and spring, that sort of thing.

Does anyone have loan details or a disbursement date for their PLUS loans? I know the PLUS loans take longer but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I called and they said they should disburse at the same time, it just hadn't certified yet. But they can tell you if you need to do anything.

So if I'm reading it right, and I'd like to think that I am, they scheduled OCI Boot Camp in Dallas roughly 12 hours before Houston OCI starts the next morning?

They send an e-mail about it 45 minutes ago. The date for the Boot Camp has been changed to August 9.fathergoose wrote:So if I'm reading it right, and I'd like to think that I am, they scheduled OCI Boot Camp in Dallas roughly 12 hours before Houston OCI starts the next morning?

We must live in the same neighborhood. But wary of the Patton Boggs partners, they finished off the bottle of blue label they brought over to ply me with. It broke their poor little hearts to get turned down.chrisokc wrote:Hiring partners have already started calling me and stopping by my house.

Really? All I've gotten are balloon arrangements, strippers, and bottles of rare single malt. Nice notes attached to them though. But I applied to a lot of Fort Worth firms, and they don't put out quite like Dallas firms do.

Upon further research and review, Exxon Tax pays its summers about 2/3 of big law.kalvano wrote:I hate to waste a bid on it if it isn't. I can't go if they don't pay.

Anyone know when summer grades are typically released? If it's like the regular semesters, I suppose there will be snow on the ground...

Does anyone have an opinion on the class Trademark and Business Torts? I'm switching my schedule somewhat and am considering taking this. The profs listed are Cone/Hosch.

WTF is an alternate? I mean, if you cannot decline a first-round interview, how is there ever a need for an alternate?!

Only in theory can you not turn down an interview. A number of alternates got interviews from Houston OCItinyone wrote:WTF is an alternate? I mean, if you cannot decline a first-round interview, how is there ever a need for an alternate?!

A lot of the firms wanted to interview me in five or six of their slots, just to spend more time chatting with me. That's not fair! I limited them to two slots, so some alternates picked up the slack.fathergoose wrote:Only in theory can you not turn down an interview. I can confirm there should be movement on the alternate list. At one firm's request, my OCI screener has been moved to a non-OCI location; I presume this will create some movement on the alternate list.fathergoose wrote:Only in theory can you not turn down an interview. Can we be a package deal like the dudes from Step Brothers? Raising a URM should make you a diversity hire, imo.chrisokc wrote:Only if you say I've been raising you for the past ten years.
