assume money is the same:
Indiana University Bloomington vs. Hastings/Davis

-i am coming from CA, not deadset on practicing in CA

Unless you have a desire to practice in the midwest, I don't see a reason to leave Cali.

but wouldn't going to davis or hastings help my chances to work in the Chicago/ DC markets?

I would imagine the Midwest employment market is stronger than the Cali employment market. Plus connections to both the West Coast and the Midwest would be better than just connections in California. Also, Bloomington looks like a wonderful, quiet place to spend three years.

also, would quality of life be better at some place like Indiana U Bloomington?

i've heard so many mixed theories about How to Choose a Law School that it makes me really indecisive.... i feel like i might be a better student at IUB and it might be a more nurturing environment than hastings/davis
