What about the Labor Day weekend?
That Saturday (9/4) is the first home football game, so you may not want to do it then or you probably won't get as many people to go.
That Sunday seems ideal then. After the football game and have Monday off.

are any of you out of state students trying to get in state tuition for next year? if so, have any of you completed the early FL Bar application? I'm curious how long the turnover is for this thing. (just now starting it)

When I got down here in June I finished it and sent it in. About a week later I got the entire thing back with a letter that said it cannot be sent in until we start classes. However, the letter that was sent with information about obtaining in-state tuition only states that the other steps must be completed and dated before commencement of 1L classes. The Bar application just has to be completed before commencement of 2L classes.

OOS here. And yeah, the little worksheet they gave us was a bit misleading regarding the FL Bar part. Anyway, carman1880 is right. I noticed the rule that a person can't apply for the FL Bar until he/she is attending a law school, so I called Jennifer Kessinger and she told me that either during orientation or the first few weeks of class, a FL Bar representative will come and talk to all 1L's and help us that are OOS and trying to get instate tuition with submitting our application.
She told me that of all those requirements on the "obtaining residency and instate tuition", applying to the FL Bar is the only one that does not have to be dated BEFORE 1L classes begin.

I really hope I get Section 1. I'm not sure if I could handle 8 o'clock classes.

I think that means the degree granted GPA, but I could be wrong.

Don't all the sections have an 8 o'clock class? Or am I missing something? I am just basing this off of the classes by time schedule on the website so I could be completely mistaken. If one section gets out of 8oclock classes, I am going to be mighty jealous!

I could be wrong, too, but I looked at the Fall 2010 schedule by class and I assumed the number behind the course number to be the section. Upon the second glance, however, I think the schedule would work under my assumption.

I am just getting really anxious for our schedules, even though I know they still won't be out for a few weeks. :|

Note to self never move 7 hours away again, it was/is horrible. Hopefully no one else got stuck moving everything up to the third floor like I did.

So I take it 20 hours isn't going to be peachy.

Anybody know if we can use the leach center, or do we have to wait until classes begin?

I don't think you can because you're not officially a student yet.

Unfortunately, you cannot use the Leach Center until you are actually taking classes. For example, if you were an undergraduate, but you were not taking summer classes, they would not let you use the gym. Hope this helps.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
