I might. No set plans here. I've been in Texas forever, so I'm looking forward to being somewhere else for a while. I may try to make it somewhere up northeast, but I do have some connections here in TX, so I may return if necessary. Assuming I enjoy Atlanta, I don't really have a problem staying there, either. We'll see!

Also, side note, I signed my lease at Campus Crossing. I know a lot of people on here have been saying beware, but I really liked it. They had a pipe burst, it happens, and they fixed the problem. The place was super nice, and the others I visited had a lot of non-Emory students, which was kind of a turn off, especially since I'm coming from a college town.

I looked at the recreational services site, and there appear to be a handful of tennis tournaments each year. I am playing 3 to 4 times a week right now and hope to maintain that pace while in school as the main component of my physical fitness regiment.

4.5 is a bit above where I am at right now. I played baseball my whole life into college but ended up playing D3 tennis the last two years of college, without much fundamentals and more just relying on my coordination. I didn't play for awhile after that, but I've gotten serious over the last year; I performed pretty well at a 3.5 USTA tourney in the fall, and I think I am approaching level 4 right now, playing regularly in a league. As the game gets faster, I enjoy it more. I played a guy yesterday that was easily a 4.0 - if not higher - and managed to squeak out a 6-4, 7-5 victory.

I'm a solid 4.0...Atlanta is seriously the best city in the country for tennis, so you guys are coming to the right place. I play 5-6 times a week between 3 different leagues and practices. There are courts EVERYWHERE...and they are mostly always full too.

Campus Crossings had comparable pricings for 1BR apartments after you factor in that you'd have to furnish your place at almost every other community and pay for internet, trash, water and sewer. That being said, I signed a 1/1 lease at Campus Crossings.

This. I made sure to ask around during ASW what people currently living there thought. I had some good opinions as well as some bad... though the bad seemed to mainly all focus on the whole pipe bursting/flood deal.
