I'm not sure, but hopefully we're in time. The update I got in the e-mail said the last buying window sold out six hours after the window opened.

did you all get the Incoming 1L Getting Started email? As I have officially 2 more weeks of work, it is hard to contain my excitement haha. are any of you reading anything from the reading list? and if so, how many selections are you shooting for?

Got mine. I have six weeks of working left, so I'm considerably less exciting. >.>

A quick note for anyone who's coming to OSU for the first time this semester: apparently, you can't set up direct deposit until you receive your bill, so if you click on the student refund link on the student center page and can't go forward from there, that's why. (only took me 32 minutes waiting on hold to find out)

Since this week is graduation week at Northwestern (I graduated last year, but I'm supporting the bf) starting school so soon seems hard to believe!! But, I'm pumped! As for the reading list, I might get the first two or three.

Yeah, I heart pay checks almost as much as some time to relax so I'm compromising and contracting through July and only working half days. This way I can sit on a beach and work.

Just decided on OSU!! but i'm currently out of the country so my apartment hunting won't start until mid July..probably too late by then..
gonna leave my car at home so I won't be able to drive to school...looking at apartments within 1 mile away from law school..hopefully furnished with kitchen facilities...



anyone looking for a roommate btw??

You should look on craigslist and apartments.com or rent.com. There is a ton of housing near the law school/campus in general, although closer to school = lots of undergrads. On the plus side, the rest of the school doesn't start until late August (or early September?), so I'm sure you'll be able to find something in July.

Is Lantern Square Apartments decent? They have rooms available but I don't know if their facilities are ok and their location is good. It seems fairly close to the law school....^^

That's a pretty rundown section of High Street, but it would be a close walk to the law building and nearby bars and restaurants. I don't know anything about the apartments themselves.

Well, the menu's TBD, but we'll definitely need extra seating, so lawn chairs That's the one thing I definitely know we'll need. BEyond that, I'd definitely welcome anyone bringing food or drink items of any sort. I'll update the event page with info about bringing things.

The apartments are very small but nice. It's in a pretty run-down neighborhood but I have a good friend that lived there for a few years and didn't have problems.

Slightly dodgy area. If you are interested in that south campus area, I would recommend something west of high street and a little closer to the law school. More undergrads, but less homeless.
